Jan, 16, 2012 - The Walking Dead’s third season is a lock. AMC has ordered 16 new episodes for Season 3, which is more than the network normally orders for its critically acclaimed series’, such as Mad Men and Breaking Bad. Previous orders of the show were for 13 episodes.
The Walking Dead returns with all-new episodes in its season two run on Sunday, Feb. 12. Fans in Oklahoma can catch it at 9:00 p.m. CT on AMC.
According to AMC, “Season 2 of the critically acclaimed global hit series continues to deliver the strongest telecasts for any drama in basic cable history against Adults 18-49, as well as, top international pay-TV ratings on Fox International Channels' (FIC) major markets.”
Check out this scene from the next new episode of The Walking Dead, “Nebraska.” In the scene Rick and Hershel are talking and then two strangers walk in on them and say “They’re alive.”
It’s hard to tell from the scene who these people are supposed to be. The television series has already veered off wildly from the comics (the Atlanta disease center, Shane still being alive, etc…), so they could be anybody.
In more news, there has been a lot of news come out recently, including controversy surrounding what Frank Darabont’s season two opener would have been had he not been fired as well as the fact that comics author Robert Kirkman saying that Michonne is not confirmed to appear in season two, which means the Governor probably won’t be around till season three either.
