Spring training is right around the corner and while your wife and your liver are happy for the lull between the super bowl and the official start of baseball in April you know your itching to chomp on some crackerjacks, slam down some overpriced beers and and talk some smack with your friends about the visiting team.
Of course when your team is perpetually in the visitors dugout it can make it hard to find a friendly crowd at game time. If your a Red Sox fan in New York City it can feel dam near impossible.
Assuming that you you don't want to shell out the equivalent of next months rent for the MLB package or NFL's Sunday ticket then you may think that you are left checking box scores on your laptop for the season. Not to fear faithful members of the Red Sox nation there is a place where everybody knows your name standing proudly in defiance right in the shadow of the enemy.
Pat O'Briens stands out on the corner of 89th and 2nd ave with windows of glowing red neon sox and huge signs proudly proclaiming "Go Red Sox" and "Patriots games played here"
The inside of this Irish Pub is plastered with every kind of BoSox, Pats, Celtics, Bruins, and Boston College memorabilia ... even down to the Flutie flakes box. Even the regular bar staff are Boston transplants and true fans that work to keep the royal rooters from going thirsty when they are away from home.
Decked out in flat screens galore and a floor to ceiling projector you can see all 162 regular season games here. Wether you rooting for the Sox to win or you just want to see the Yankees lose this is your place.
To make an already great thing better Pat O'Briens has one of the best beer specials in the city. While it tends to draw a few Yankee hats into the mix its well worth it. On Friday nights 6:30-7:30 you can get a Coors Light or Miller Light draft for just a quarter. You can spend the night cheering with the crowd and watching the game, playing beer pong, or just talking smack about the local team with your friends while rubbing shoulders with the enemy.

I was there one night during the playoffs last year it was me and about a hundred other Sox fans and one D-bag with a Yankee hat and a "Jobba Rules" T shirt. We mocked him with out mercy and the bartender refused to serve him. Best night ever.
