No doubt you’ve heard about the endless number of celebrities on Twitter. From Ashton Kutcher to Snoop Dogg, these days, it isn’t so much about who is online as who isn’t. It seems like just about everyone in Hollywood has caught Twitter fever.

Unfortunately, just like the rest of us, not all of them have quite caught on to Twitter. While Ashton has a multitude of followers and is a Twitter pro, other celebrities post seldom or, even worse, have someone post for them. Which means that some of those celebrities, the PR posters or ones who just can’t seem to make themselves post, will sit like lame ducks in your follow list. Want to follow some really cool celebrities who actually have something to say? Just click on the links and hit that “Follow” button.

John Mayer – John Mayer makes most people sing along. However, he keeps his Twitter followers laughing with his dry wit and, sometimes, off the wall tweets. Not Shaquille off the wall, but the funny, off-the-wall sort-of comments your friend makes when he knows only you will get the joke. Luckily, we get the joke. Mostly. Maybe. Okay, we think we get the joke.

Sara Gilbert – Follow Sara Gilbert and you might sometimes find yourself under the impression that she’s just another one of your good friends. Tweeting about everything from family life to the latest movie she’s seen, Sara’s nice girl on the net attitude makes us all want to be a better tweeter.

Russell Brand – On July 4th, Brand proposed that America apologize to Her Majesty for their mistake. And my Twitter heart has been stolen ever since. His on-stage wit translates to 140 characters perfectly.

Jimmy Fallon – Follow Jimmy on Twitter and you’ll get a taste of his monologue before he goes live with it on his late night show. And you thought you weren’t important to the late night writing process. Psh.

Neil Gaiman – Master author and all around good guy, Neil Gaiman, tweets the life of a famous author and we all drool. Neil’s tweets allow you to live vicariously through Neil’s adventures of being an NYT bestselling author.

Alyssa Milano – Alyssa is more than likely the epitome of “dream girl” for most men. She loves sports, particularly baseball, and she’s attentive, regularly answering questions posed to her by her followers.

Eddie Izzard – Eddie keeps his Twitter constantly updated and, because he’s fabulous, we care. Not to mention he’s already seen "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" and the world is just a little jealous.

LeVar Burton – Former star of "Star Trek: The Next Generation", LeVar Burton, keeps his Twitter up to date with relevant and intelligent insight into the world of entertainment. He even Twittered live from Michael Jackson’s memorial ceremony in Los Angeles.

James Kyson Lee – His name might not be instantly recognizable, but James Kyson Lee, better known to those who watch "Heroes" as Hiro’s sidekick, Ando, is a master at the ways of the Twitter. He’s witty (“I love when rappers say, ‘Are you ready?’ – I wasn’t aware we had to prepare for the show”) and charming. Which probably means he’s a figment of my imagination.

Kristen Bell – Kristen is still somewhat new to Twitter, but her prolific tweets and graciousness to her followers are quickly making her a favorite. As with anyone, it’s still unsure if she’ll stick with Twitter, but her followers hope she does.
