Former Full House star John Stamos has revealed that he was the victim of a recent extortion plot. How darling. Crucial and highly un-darling questions surround the case however, such as who is sane enough to believe Stamos still had enough cash to be extorted?

The answer? Michigan's finest. Allison Coss, 23 and Scott Sippola, 30, of Marquette, Michigan (never heard of it either) were apprehended at a Michigan airport by an undercover FBI agent posing as a Stamos rep. Go FBI. Stamos allegedly initially met Coss, then 18, way back when (aka 2004) at a party in Florida. It was at the said 2004 party where the photo shoot went down. In an innocent coincidence, 2004 is the same year John divorced then-wife Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. What a small world.

Stamos allegedly began receiving harassing emails about a month ago from "Brian L", who demanded $680,000 from Stamos (FYI $680,000 is the precise amount one needs to ride dirrrty in Michigan) or risk having the photos sold to a tabloid magazine. Kaching. Stamos, not one to mess with Brian L (never trust a man with a letter - or a number - as his last name), quickly speed-dialed his lawyer, who just as quickly hollered at the FBI.

The official affidavit states, "After police raided their home, they discovered three photos of Stamos, a piece of paper with the actor's personal cell phone number on it, and a list of three tabloid magazines with contact numbers for each." Ewwww, pass.

Matt Polk, a Stamos rep (poor thing), commented, "John Stamos was a target of an extortion attempt. The U.S. Attorney and the FBI handled the investigation swiftly and with great expertise." Who knew the FBI had a soft spot for Uncle Jesse? Polk went on, "The photos in question are photos of John posing with fans." Right, "posing with fans" is code for late night bad-news-bears. Unfortunately, Polk revealed "At the conclusion of the investigation and hearing, the photos will be available and the public will be able to see that the photos are simply John posing with fans." Uh, do we have to?
