It was another double elimination night on Dancing with the Stars Tuesday night but it was hardly surprisng that former Dallas Cowboys' star MIchael Irvin and Iron Chef America host Mark Dacascos were sent home.
Irvin stayed for seven weeks in large part due to his huge fan following. He told People after the show: We have great love out here. The voters kept us in. We were scoring 13s and 14s. That makes you feel great!”
Singer Aaron Carter was again near the bottom and had to compete in a dance-off with Dacascos for the chance to keep competing. The judges' opted for Carter's jive over Dacascos' cha-cha. Dacascos was without his partner Lacey Schwimmer this week due to the flu. Anna Trebunskaya filled in for Schwimmer Monday night. But Schwimmer came back Tuesday night to dance with Dacascos one last time.
“I probably shouldn’t have come here today and danced but I begged to be here,” Schwimmer said. “There was no way I was going to let him leave on a sour note. We danced one last time.”
Dacascos enjoyed his time on Dancing. "Would I trade the experience? Heck, no!” he said. “It was one of the best professional experiences I’ve had in my life!”
Colbie Callait and Rod Stewart bothtrotted out to sing their latest songs on the elimination show. And dancers Derek Hough and Mark Ballas debuted their boy band, Ballas Hough, on national television for the first time.
