Sandra Bullock was willing to talk on a video that promotes the restoration of the Gulf after the large BP oil spill, but once she heard that oil companies may be behind the video, she wants her part taken out. The affiliation of oil companies and the video was made known in a news story done by a website yesterday.

Bullock had already done the  video, "The Women of the Storm", when she heard this news that the oil companies may have some influence with this video.

DeSmogBlog called the campaign an "industry push to get support for drilling and taxpayer money to repair wetland damage caused by the BP oil spill."

On the site DeSmogBlog, Sandra Bullock's full statement was printed . The statement was put out by  her publicist who said that Sandra Bullock's commitment to the Gulf region has been apparent for many years. Her commitment will remain to the plight of the Gulf region as she will support other opportunities that will bring awareness to the area. She was asked by her attorney to be part of the PSA to bring awareness to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. She was unaware that any oil company or business had influence over  "The Women of the Storm" or its messages.

Sandra Bullock has always been generous to good causes, but she was unaware of any

affiliation this good cause had at the time, if any, when she opted to speak in their video. She has pulled out of appearing in this video until she learns for sure or not if the oil companies have any influence in it.

According to a Connecticut resident who has followed Sandra Bullocks career, she has always had time to give to others less fortunate. The adoption of her baby, Louie, came about after she toured the area and saw the damage done by Hurricane Katrina. She opted to take a child in need from this area instead of going overseas for an adoption, as many other stars have done.
