American Idol has two new judges according to TMZ and they are Areosmith's Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. They are as close to a done deal as you can get says the website.
Kara DioGuardi has been fired, reports TMZ and Ellen Degeneres has handed in her resignation. This along with Simon Cowell's departure has left Randy Jackson sitting alone on the judges panel, but not for long.
American Idol is going back to their original three judge panel and Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, along with veteran Randy Jackson will fill the panel out nicely. The expertise in the music industry and top talent that is represented by these three judges, is more in sync with what the show is all about.
Jessica Simpson has been in talks with the executives of American Idol about filling Simon Cowell's seat as a judge, but this seems to have fallen off the table with the news this morning.
Connecticut fans of American Idol had a chance to win a contest at Mohegan Sun on Monday. Fox News Connecticut held a contest for "Connecticut American Idol" and the winner won a round trip limo ride to audition for the real American Idol in New Jersey. Henry Smith, of Ellington, Connecticut was the talented winner of this contest, according to the Norwich News.
American Idol appears to be falling apart, but it is also looking as it is coming back together again with a strong foundation of big names.

Since Steven was hurt, and is getting old, maybe big concerts are not in his best interest. I dont watch American Idol, but maybe I will now that Tyler will be on. It will be interesting to hear his critiques. Godspeed Steven.
