Keanu Reeves is saddling up for Cowboy Bebop as Spike Spiegal, sensitive ex-mobster with elite karate skills -- and a tragic, romantic past.
Based on the award-winning, Japanese anime series, it follows the adventures of Spike, ex-cop Jet Black, con woman Faye Valentine, resident child genius Ed, and their dog Ein, as they tried to make a living as "cowboys" called bounty hunters in the futuristic galaxy.
Though it lasted 26 episodes from 1998-99, Cowboy Bebop continues to make an impact all over the world, especially in the U.S., through reruns on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and 2001's Cowboy Bebop: The Movie.
The live-action Cowboy Bebop comes to the big screen next year.
