"The biggest challenge is coping with the crowds," he said. "I am a quiet, private person. It's strange. You have to change a little bit. Walking down the street comes with screaming. ... But when you are by yourself, your paranoia runs and runs."
"Because of Internet stuff and Twitter, there will be a crowd if you are in a place for more than half an hour," he said. "I've learned never to stay in the same place for more than 20 minutes."
This is so much the case that Pattinson confessed that he now prefers to have security around him when he goes into crowded areas. This is something that he really discovered while shooting the romantic drama "Remember Me" in New York this summer, where he was literally attacked by fans.
When asked about his character, Edward Cullen, Pattinson says, "I like playing him," "I don't know if I like him as a person. ... He is a little straitlaced for my liking. He is not rebellious."
So we gather that Robert Pattinson likes a little bit of the wild side, but not so much on the wild fans.
Shooting of Eclipse, the third installment of the Twilight Saga, began today, and I'm sure that the crowds are already drooling for information.
So, in conclusion, RPattz lovers, give the man some breathing room. What does that mean? Well, we know you want to know his every move, but let the guy eat without being disturbed, let him have a few beers with his buddies, let him walk down the street without being attacked. Does this mean you can never say hi, no. This means, if you see him, casually smile and nod, if a decent opportunity comes up say hi. If he wants to talk he will. And, if you must twitter about the man, at least allow him the courtesy of not bombarding the area he is in.
What are your thoughts on this, am I way off in thinking he should be allowed some time to himself, and not be attacked?

No I 100% agree with you. Fans should give him some space to breath yes we all love Rob and the work he does we just want a chance to tell him that. I think some just can't get past the fact that, that he is not just a character from a movie, he is a person and he deserves the same amount of respect as anyone else. I know a couple of 13 yr old fans and they just don't realize this they only see Rob as Edward and nothing else. I understand this to a point they still have to grow up but what gets me is when the adults act like this. Please give the man some room to live his life and if he gives you an opportunity to talk then you can take it.
I agree...back off and let the man have some level of normalcy. I couldn't imagine having to live his life. The money hungry sicko paps are the reason I refuse to read anything about "what" he's doing or "where" he is...I simply don't want to play a part in taking away someone's basic expectancy of privacy. He can't stay in one place for more than 20 minutes? What a disgusting state his fans have reached. Thank you for writing a refreshing article about what this actor is having to deal with, instead of contributing to it!

i know its a while after the fact and im a bit late and eclipse is out in 22days but i think the same he's gorgeous but give him space also you look like and idiot running and screaming towards him everybody should be treated the same celebrity or not!
