Carrie Prejean, Ex-Miss California, became infamous for her comments against gay marriage at this year's Miss USA Pageant. She was later released of her title of “Miss California” for missing scheduled appearances. Now, Prejean is suing pageant officials for libel, slander, and religious discrimination.

The lawsuit names pageant executive director Keith Lewis and former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, who allegedly both told Prejean not to mention God or religion before her anti-gay marriage comments, and also revealed that Prejean had breast implants paid for by Miss California USA organization. The lawsuit also mentions Lewis and Moakler's used networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to slander Prejean's name further.

Prejean says that she has been subject to public ridicule and humiliation and lost out on modeling work since the whole situation took place. She also claims that she has suffered anxiety, depression and loss of sleep. Shanna Moakler's attorney has stated that he believes Prejean's case is without merit.
On a side note; Donald Trump, owner of Miss California USA orginazaion was not named in this lawsuit. Could it be because essentially he paid for the breast implants? Who knows? Who Cares? What do you think?

Oh honey, you should sue yourself for having such a small mind.

The public ridicule is because she's a hypocrite who poses nude, then lies about it, and then claims to be a Christian. If posing naked will bring in the money, she'll do it. If speaking at "Christian" gatherings will bring in the money, she'll do that too. When all else fails, file a lawsuit because everything else fell through, and see if that will bring in the money. She's like Brittney Spears - each new act is more bizarre/extreme than the last. Anything to stay in the spotlight.

I'm convinced the lawsuit is nothing more than a ploy to keep her in the public spotlight until her book is released.
