CW TV show "The Game" cancelled
When The Chicago Tribune first reported that CW's popular show called The Game was cancelled -- many of the show's fans didn't know yet.
But as the 2009 year progressed, steady searches on Google asking: "The Game cancelled" and "What happened to The Game?" and "Is The Game coming back?" showed that the show's fans were missing their CW show about football players and their wives and girlfriends.
Why did CW cancel The Game TV show? Will BET pick up The Game?
Falling ratings are one reason some give as to why The Game was cancelled by CW.
Others offer more sinister, deep-seated malicious reasons as to why The Game got cancelled, despite a loyal viewership that was seemingly left without resolution with Melanie's wedding episode. Tia Mowry of Sister, Sister fame played the lead role.

With Brittany Daniel playing the Caucasian wife of Coby Bell, The Game TV show offered a humorous and at times melodramatic look into the lives of an interracial couple not often seen on many screens these days.
Pooch Hall was infinitely watchable (especially when he danced in the locker room with the guys) as football player Derwin Davis -- and Wendy Raquel Robinson was the fabulous mom who had her character's son Malik (played by Hosea Chanchez) at a young age.
Will The Game come back on CW or BET for a fourth season? Will you watch if it does?
Either way, I stopped watching The Game after the first season or two, so the wedding drama and Derwin's baby mama drama are foreign to me.
The Game could be raunchy at times -- as we all can be -- and yet somehow maybe viewers tuned out because eyeballs are itching for something different.
An hour-long African-American drama is what this country needs right now.
When's the last time we saw one? Let pray future pitches of mine get purchased by Hollywood -- or at least Tyler Perry Studios.
But in the meantime, the vocal majority of those crying out to bring The Game back -- or least a resolution episode or conclusion movie -- deserve to be heard.

I would love to know what happens next with kelly and her exhusband derwin and melaine after they were married. I think they need to at least give closure to us veiwers as to what happens to the charcters. I think the show should a proper ending right now its open to wonder what happens next.

I have as a writer become addicted to the show. It displays a realistic depiction of affluent athletes who have flaws as wellas merits.The show is so well written everybody I know that watches the show is intrigued and captivated by the complexities of the story-lines. I am big fan of Mara Brock Akil. This is a show worth fighting for. BET should jump at the chance tohave the show, due to the lackluster programming that is currently going on,with the exception of "The Game". You can only see the "Color Purple" and "Waiting to Exhale so much! Mara Brock Akil is the most intouch writer along with the other writers as well as the rest of the production team that get us on TV! BET show some backbone! If you don't stand up who will!

Will be really disappointed if this show does not get renewed. The writing is creative and the characters are "real". Got caught up on the episodes that I missed during the marathon this weekend and would really like to find out what happens with everyone. It is one of the few enjoyable sitcoms that are left. Don't let it go.

You gotta bring the game back. It was the best show on television right now. I still haven't even caught the third season but I'm reading people talking about they cried at the end. It's a great show. Why would you take a show that good off the air. You could have just moved it to another day If it wasn't working out on fridays.

I did not get into the game until around the second and third season they got to bring the game back!!!!! I think that show was awsome. I look at the reruns all the time hoping 2 catch something new. I have seen a couple of tthings I didn't c back then when the show was out.Like the wedding,but I haven't seen anything b4 that so I was lost. Please bring it back out. my husband and I watch it all the time. It's a great show.
I LOVE that show and think it was awesome. I believe it didn't get the support and marketing it needed, because this show has strong actors/actresses. I know if they come back it should be on BET and I'd for sure watch it. Just like Girlfriends, fans were left in limbo of what happened and no sign of a come back.
I think we NEED shows like this because TV has become NOTHING more than a reality horror and I remember when shows like Cosby, Differnt World and Girlfriends were out, gave us something to run home for. PLEASE BRING THE SHOW BACKKKKKKK.

I feel it is a race issue. I hate to play that card, but why are all the black shows being cancelled. I is hard for me to believe that it was due to ratings. I think The Game is the best show I seen on CW.It's dumb of then to take the show off.
