Oprah cries in the below video from Friday's Oprah Winfrey Show as she tell her audience in a teary announcement that she's ending her show.
"And it still means as much to me to spend an hour with you every day as it did back in 1986," Oprah says in the below video, as the announcement of the Oprah Show's end shows the talk show queen turning teary-eyed, yet rigid and steely.
"So why walk away and make next season the last?" Oprah says, leaving the world hanging on her every word, her next words automatically dismissing Mayor Daley's claims that Chicago drove her away by giving Oprah a hard time for closing down Michigan Avenue for her Black Eyed Peas show recently.

"Here is the real reason: I love this show, this show has been my life, and I love it enough to know when it's time to say goodbye," Oprah says in the below video of her announcement. "Twenty five years? It's the perfect number, it feels right in my bones and it feels right in my spirit.

Harpo Studios is a busy place on Friday, one day after Oprah tells her Harpo staff that the show will end September 9, 2011.
Employees cried as Oprah showed the staff video of famous endings: The Mary Tyler Moore Show, M*A*S*H and other shows, and the employees realized it was the end.
Reportedly, Harpo employees who've been with the company for 3 years or more will be offered positions within the company.
