Yes, Oprah the Miracle Maker is powerful enough to shut down Michigan Avenue -- known as the Magnificent Mile in Chicago -- for a taping of the Oprah Winfrey Show.
The shut down reportedly began Monday -- but starting today, September 8, 2009, at Noon according to WBBM, Oprah fans lined up for a chance to try and view the Oprah Winfrey Show that's responsible for shutting down Michigan Avenue -- an Oprah show reportedly including Jennifer Hudson and the Black Eyed Peas.
Oprah will use her own money to shut down Michigan Avenue, and not the city of Chicago's money, reports say...
But of course that doesn't stop some Chicagoans from being peeved at the shut down of Michigan Avenue.
"Only a Queen could do this," quotes the Chicago Tribune blog.
Criss Angel will also appear (or disappear?) on the show.
At least Michigan Avenue should be back to its normal, Water Tower-neck craning, crowded, cab-honking self by Wednesday at 5 a.m.
