Chris Sligh -- whose name I thought was spelled Chris Slay, the way it was pronounced on The View -- made the news today because of his blog.
Sligh's blog made the news because Sherri Shepherd read excerpts from Chris' blog telling former American Idol contestants that they're not going to be successful and that people won't care about them after the American Idol limelight dies down -- unless they get out there and work it hard themselves.
I like Sligh's advice -- not the dashing dreams part, but the part that is a reality check to contestants, telling them that they won't all be Jennifer Hudson or Clay Aiken or Ruben Studdard after their American Idol stint is done.
So read up on Chris Sligh's blog if you're trying to make it is a singer -- I'm not a singer, but I've still added Sligh's blog to my Google Reader.
