Emmy Award winner Rip Torn was arrested for being loaded in more ways than one when he attempted to break into a local bank in his hometown in Connecticut, extremely intoxicated and carrying a loaded revolver.
The Register Citizen reported that Rip Torn was picked up and taken to jail when police officers responded to an alarm only to find their local celebrity drunk and armed. This arrest only adds more pages to the already thick file of arrests for one of the 1997 stars of the popular movie 'Men In Black.' Torn played the head of the agency Zed along side of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
The 78 year old Rip Torn has had a history of alcohol offenses that have led to previous arrests including DWI and disorderly conduct charges, one in paticular that landed him a spot on 'The Smoking Gun's Worlds Dumbest' tv show.
Rip Torn got his start in the acting business along side many big names when he co- starred in the classic film 'The Cincinnati Kid ' with actors Steve McQueen , Edward G. Robinson and Ann Margaret to name a few.
