Contractors, developers, unions, and corporations have plenty of ways to avoid campaign finance rules and bribe our leaders. Two years ago John Fritze (formerly of the Sun) wrote this article about Mayor Dixon's inaugural celebration. Plenty of big names donated large sums of money to the celebration fund while we all looked the other way and accepted this practice as "normal". In Baltimore it is very normal, but it is ethically wrong. It's called buying influence. Make sure you read this article.

I REMEMBER THAT ARTICLE. I GUESS IT ONLY SHOWS HOW DEEP THE PRACTICE OF BUYING INFLUENCE RUNS. THAT'S WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. GET RID OF ALL THE THIEFS.
I also vote for term limits.
I wonder who the next stooge will be. Our politicos have been pimping the people of Baltimore for years. She was just one of a few pimps and pimpettes on the list. I rather have somebody in office that is their first time then these pimps and pimpettes that have destroyed a perfectly good city. I heard one politico say that the city is okay, I thought they must have been stationed on the "planet out of touch". This city has been losing population every since the 300 homicide a year mayor Kirk Schmoke took office. I just can wait for the census when the truth finally comes out. They will see that the millionaires have left the State and people who can get out will leave. Then they will have only the poor to tax, because they created them and the hard working tax payer will not have anything else to tax. Oh, yes the congressional healthcare plan will put us all in the poor house. I can't wait for the REVOLUTIONAL OVERTHROW, even the military will wake up and not support these crooks.
