Employees of BP who reporters and photographers have called ‘oil spill police’ have been blocking access to oil drenched areas where animals and birds lay dead and dying.
Conservation Consultant Rick Steiner said, “We’ve been run off by BP thugs.” He added, “They don’t want the images on the evening news.”
The 'images' BP has been trying to hide are the growing numbers of dead birds, turtles and fish.
From the onset of the Deepwater Horizon disaster on April 20, 2010, BP CEO Tony Hayward has tried to play-down the affects of his company’s oil spill.
Initial claims by BP on the amount of leaking oil were 1,000 barrels a day. Those estimates were later raised to 5,000 barrels a day.
When independent scientists were finally allowed to analyze the spill, those estimates increased dramatically, to between 12,000 and 25,000 barrels a day.
"It has been suggested that Tony Hayward has been underestimating the scope of the BP oil spill disaster to avoid costly per-gallon EPA fines and lawsuits."
As the spill has continued to gush, it has become much more to difficult for BP to completely hide what the Deepwater Horizon has done to the Gulf of Mexico.

Hayward needs some community service time. I feel it would be appropriate for him to rescue birds from an oil soaked marsh. Since nothing is toxic in his mind, let him do it in his scivvies without boat or waders. Don't tread on me!!!
when this "spill" is finally contained....and the people have begun to be "made whole"(if that is even possible), then we need to move toward holding those in charge to the fire....they need to be charged with PREMEDITATED MURDER.....and "COMPLICITY AFTER THE FACT"....and our "rico" laws should take ALL their property and money....and they should spend their lives in jail...while their families stand in bread lines with the rest of us good folks!!!
BP have been nothing but criminal. Share holders& all public desearve truth. No one has been fired, charged, jail. They are not allowing anyone to see it. ALLOWING, since when after a crime does the criminals take & stay in charge. Besides the obvious money what other reasons do they have to continue lieing & being in control. Strip the control & to he'll with what they want . We the people want this fixed yesterday, before al the way to the coast of Maine will be effected after huricane& season or the loss of human life. We've lost our wildlife & fisheries. Businesses distroyed, expensive property up & down the coast that u won't be able to give away.
The neglect, the I'll regard to ethics, to our waters & our lives,. The lack of respect & the insult to our intelligence. Shame on all of you.
