Tea Party protesting lowest taxes in 60 years

Tea Party protestors have a common complaint about their taxes being too high, but the tax bill this year was near the levels of 1950 when Harry Truman was president. So the question is: why do the teabaggers continue complaining about higher taxes when they know they are lower?

It’s obvious that the complaints about taxes are ‘talking points’ from the leaders, but there is something else at work here. Complaining about taxes is a common man’s complaint, and it is a topic that everyone can relate to. However, looking at teabaggers and considering the demographics, it seems only the Koch brothers and party leaders are in the filthy rich category.

They complain about taxes because there is not much else to moan about. In fact, when the Tea Party began last year in 2009, teabaggers complained of high taxes that were from the Bush years. Either the teabaggers were ignorant, or they were directed by a machine. Now that their taxes are lower, the machine continues pushing for tax cuts – for the rich and corporations

The surprising aspect is that teabaggers continue rallying and protesting for the very corporations and financial institutions that they hate. The lower taxes they want are for the corporate and filthy rich. The point that teabaggers do not know is that Progressives want corporations held accountable and to share their obscene profits with workers.

But the teabaggers who are ripped off by the corporations are protesting for less worker rights and more corporate tax breaks. If they would stop and look at the facts, without the benefit of wisdom from the likes of Palin, Morris, Armey and the Koch’s, the shock would stun them into reality.

However, they will not listen, and although taxes are at the lowest in 60 years, they complain just like the wealthy, corporate world tells them to. It is sad that they are making so much noise, and sad they are working to enrich corporations for no pay. They should get used to working for nothing because when the corporations completely take over and all regulations are abolished, the will work at their jobs for free.

The teabaggers wanted lower taxes and they got them; and like stupid little brats, they throw a fit before they know the facts and they are taking the country down with them.

You do realize that the term you are using to describe members of the Tea Party is considered "hate speech" and is outright bigotry don't you?

Aside from your slurs, I take issue with your reporting only half of the story (as usual). The Tea Party is protesting both higher taxes, which are STILL too high, and the out of control spending coming from this administration. The deficit is higher now than it ever was during the Bush Administration. THAT is the problem. And we still keep piling on more and more entitlement programs. How about adding this entitlement program . . . You are entitled to WORK for what you get. If you don't work you get NOTHING except the charity of your extended family and neighbors, NOT THE GOVERNMENT. Now there is a great plan.

Focus on building jobs and letting people earn what they get (and keeping it) will make us all better off. This administration has not done that.

"they are taking the country down with them."

Sounds like you know what's coming starting this November. It's kind of hard not to see it. But the country is not going down . . . it's being saved.
