Beautiful article, Allen. It's too bad there is a dearth of leaders like Reagan now, we could sure use one to bring us a good morning in America again. What a rare treat you go to spend Thanksgiving there, and thanks for sharing it.
Thanks Peggy. Thanks very much for reading the article and for your feedback. I believe a leader will step forward soon to bring forward another time of revitalization. Let's remain optimistic!
Excellent article. Anyone interested in Reagan's history should visit this website: www. savethemeadow.com There is another ranch that was owned by Ronald Reagan from 1951 to 1966. It is here that his political career and cowboy persona began. This historic site is now threatened by an RV park development. Your comments can help save this piece of history. The project is ironically known as the Ronald Reagan Equestrian Campground.
As a 20-something during the Reagan era, I look back on that time with great pride and warm memories. He was a wonderful President and each of his successors would have done well to model themselves after him. My prayer for this country is that somewhere, someplace in this great country, is another Ronald Reagan waiting to lead us again to that shining city on a hill.
