Another Tea Party protest has erupted in Washington D.C. and as usual it is proving to be very entertaining. This protest was brought about by Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) along with the help of Fox News personalities Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity. Rep. Bachmann and Fox News invited health care opponents to the Capitol to help try and kill the Democrats health care bill which she has called socialized medicine.
In the video below Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) is asked to start the rally by providing an introduction and reciting the pledge. Rep. Akin stated that it is altogether fitting and proper to say the pledge and that it would infuriate liberals as well. Liberals seem not to mind that the pledge was recited but Think Progress has made an issue out of the fact that "indivisible" was taken out of the pledge by Rep. Akin. The removal of "indivisible" is especially concerning for some since some conservatives have actually advocated secession as the Obama agenda gets passed.
In addition the misquoted pledge the protest also featured a sign comparing health care reform to the Holocaust. The Holocaust comparisons have drawn fire from many who argue the comparison is improper given the magnitude and nature of the Final Solution compared with health care reform.

You FREAK! Your beloved Florida Congressman Grayson did the same and you WERE SILENT!!! You were even applauding his twisted rhetoric.
You are just a morally corrupt liberal with no scruples.
"I would like to apologize, he said. I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America."
Libs Suck: And I condemned Grayson usage of the Holocaust. And so did Rachel Maddow. Check your facts liberals did in fact call him out.
It is encouraging to see people protest anything government tries to push. I only with conservatives would get back to classical liberalism or libertarianism. Many are close but not close enough. Good for the protesters and if they screw up. Cato has the best reform solutions for healthcare. Our govt only does what has the best political return, not the best economic return. They are all the epitome of power hungry and greed. Collectivist scum...
I stand corrected on that, my apology. Your still a freak!
Rachael WHO?
I gotta be honest, I too wish that my fellow conservatives would quit comparing the Holocaust to everything they don't like about the current administration...
It lessens the impact of the fact that Dems/Libs did it for 8 years for everything they hated about Bush, and the Enviromanics do for those who think that AGW is baloney.
Doc
The captial was flooded with protesters and all you can say is "haha, he flubbed the pledge?" Next time you try to report on something, actually try reporting on what happend.
Don't know the pledge of allegiance, or the difference between the Constitution & Declaration of Independence? The American Taliban score another win, just like in NY 23!!! Every loss for them is a win. When they are a third party they will have succeeded. Run Sarah run!!! Palin/Kerik 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ryan Witt,
I suppose you aren't 'ridiculing' anyone here either....
Gigi: Did he or did he not misquote the pledge? Once again the truth = ridicule to you.
Me: 2 + 2 = 4
Gigi: There goes Witt ridiculing math again.
Everyone knows you can ridicule someone for something they actually did. Duh....
Got something to say?
