During her speech last night at the Tea Party Convention Sarah Palin mocked President Obama for his use of a teleprompter during speeches. It turns out that while mocking President Obama Palin was using a more "old school" speech aid through the use of crib notes on her hand. A video can be seen below in which Palin consults some notes on her left hand while answering questions after her speech. Photos of Palin's left hand with the words "Energy", "Tax" and "Lift American Spirits" written on it can be seen up close here. In the video below after consulting her hand Palin conveniently talks about her "energy" solutions for the future.
Most liberals do not have a problem with Palin's use of notes but instead they take issue with her hypocrisy in criticizing President Obama. Most speakers who give a long speech need some kind of guide or aid whether it be in the form of a teleprompter or an outline on a piece of paper. Palin's use of palm notes is likely to gain more criticism however as it seems too much like a sixth grader trying to cheat on algebra test. In pretending that she did not any speech aids Palin may have done more damage to herself then if she had simply been open about her use of notes.

What we need is cap & trade that 'would necessarily make our energy bills skyrocket' and to lose the freedom of choosing our own health care plan (Obama slipped up and admitted that was true after all).
