Glenn Beck seems unconcerned about his sponsors abandonment of him.
Glenn Beck must live his life according to the move Never Back Down. When Beck made his controversial statement that he thought President Obama is "a racist" he refused to recant his remark despite criticism from the left and the right. Now, as the video clip below demonstrates, Beck is refusing to moderate his commentary even in the face of his recent loss of sponsorship.
In the clip Beck first reveals that he has never been asked to censor himself from Fox News. Beck goes on to explain that the only "editing" he does is voluntary self-editing of his comments. I am not shocked that Fox News lets Beck have a free reign over his show. After all, it is not as if Fox News hides any apparent conservative bias on its network. I was surprised to hear Beck say he edits himself. It makes one wonder what Beck is thinking and not saying given the already bold and unfounded theories he proclaims. If comparing health care reform to Nazi eugenics made it through Beck's "self-censor" what exactly has been kept from us?
As for Beck's alternative plans, I am sure Beck will always find some means to voice his opinion. This does not bother me tremendously as I actually think Beck does more harm than good to the conservative cause. Having said that, if Beck really cuts ties with Fox News he will lose a lot of credibility. After all, if your remarks are too controversial and bias even for Fox News that says a lot about your opinions.

It appears Glenn Beck is mentally challenged. More than likely he took the "little" bus to school. These days anyone can get a talk show or a radio show. Only in America, people like Glenn will continue to get rich making "entertainment" out for real politics. I feel sorry for Glenn if he doesn't understand his show will not survive without sponsors.

For every sponsor Glenn loses, there are many waiting in the wings. Not everyone can be controlled by the little dweebie Nazi complainers on the left. Some people are Patriots and some are wimps. I would not bet against Glenn Beck, nor the audience demand for him. Check the latest numbers for Fox and for Glenn. As the mainstream media continues to cover for Obama, after most people know full well how many problems Obama has, Fox grows and grows. And Glenn wins his time slot by a country mile.
I also wouldn't bet against the conservatives. Not only are we alive and well, but we are going to make inroads within the Democrat party. A giant has been awakened, and we demand a return of liberty. Never again will we allow you to make those little incremental inroads of turning control over to the state. I wish there were some way that each person, regardless of race, could view the world from another person's point of view. An Anglo-Saxon Protestant would live the life of a young Hispanic female going to college. An educated African American professor from Harvard, through the eyes of a young Caucasian police officer... We, collectively, do not know what each person encounters on a daily basis. As a minority, I do know racism exists, I have witnessed it first hand. However, I do not believe that as a society we should allow it to dictate who we become and create a more divided society than already exists. When a person on television, who is influential, says hateful remarks, we all lose. I believe that volunteering, social exposure to different culture and education are the only solution to intolerance from either side. It is truly sad to know that we live in a country where the common good of the people is overlooked because of petty remarks and deep seeded hatred.
i typically like glenn, but lately he has gone too far. He used to be entertaining, but now seems kind of crazy. I now wonder if he has mental issues. he needs to present himself in a way that gets his point across without sounding so outrageous that he is unbelievable. the president may be many things, but I don't believe that he is a racist. glenn may be losing me....
Beck stated Obama has “a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture” and this statement was shortly followed by Beck saying “I’m not saying he doesn’t like white people..”
This shows the clarity of mind of Glenn Beck, the straight forward TRUTH he always speaks.
Obama likes the white people he has a deep seated hatred for, we should all follow this TRUTH.
My guess is that you will not see conservatives put their advertising money where their mouth is on this issue. You are unlikely to suddenly see a bunch of big companies want to get on board with this clown even if they agree with him, it might cost them MONEY.
Beck is extremely unlikely to lose his job because the owners of FOX absolutely love race-baiting, lederhosen wearing rabble rousers. He is the perfect performance artist for this company.
So, he is not commended for making a statement and sticking to it? Don't we have a right to free speech? Why is our right to free speech only valid until we make somebody mad?
Also, who cares what Glenn Beck thinks about, or even says and then censors. Everybody is entitled to their thoughts no matter how terrible they might be.
This is crazy to me. The people on the right, report what the people in charge are doing and what is wrong with it (yes, they criticized Bush as well, you were just too busy watching the Clinton News Network (CNN) do it), and leave you to decide. The people on the left report what they think is wrong with the reporting of the people on the right, and never mention what their party is doing wrong.
I would feel satisfied that I was able to get through to somebody but 90% of Americans believe we are a democracy. So I doubt I did.
