Glenn Beck has found his newest Van Jones, and his name is Maurice Strong.
Glenn Beck rose to fame largely by helping to bring down a man named Van Jones within the Obama administration. Beck's ratings skyrocketed as his viewers could not wait for the next piece of juicy information on Jones. Eventually, Jones was forced to resign from his role as Green Jobs Adviser to the President. After the fact, Beck would claim it was never about Jones even though he spent entire episodes "exposing" the man.
Recently, Beck has seen his rating go down over 30% after the debacle that was the Eric Massa interview. Beck seemingly vouched for Massa's credibility and promised groundbreaking revelation from the interview. Instead, Massa failed to produced any incriminating stories despite continual requests from Beck. Massa did manage to incriminate himself by confessing to various tickling sessions with male staffers.
So with, the recent decrease in Beck ratings, it should come as no surprise to anyone that he now seeks another Van Jones. Here is an an outline of Beck's conspiracy theory which incriminates Maurice Strong:
(1) Global warming is not real.
(2) Strong and other leaders like Al Gore know it is not real and they are perpetuating a fraud as a result.
(3) Al Gore and Maurice Strong stand to benefit financially from the "hoax" of global warming and the passage of climate change legislation.
(4) Strong therefore has an incentive to collapse the global economy.
(5) Strong will then use this economic collapse to install a one-world government.
(6) Strong will then benefit financially from this government under a global cap-and-trade system.
Got that? If not you can see if Beck himself explains it any better in the video below. In one example, Beck "dispoves" global warming by illustrating how plants grow better with a higher density of CO2. Beck is, of course, correct in his claim that plants grow faster with mroe CO2. The plant would grow even faster if you put it in a 50% CO2 environment. Of course, at those levels all humans would instantly die from CO2 toxicity. So maybe plant growth does not necessarily disprove the negative effects of global warming. Scientists never claimed plants would not grow in CO2. Instead, they claimed that CO2 would slowly warm the atmosphere bringing about catastrophic climate change.
Here is what we know for sure about Maurice Strong from SourceWatch. He is a prominent environmentalist who has served in leadership roles at the United Nations and various other for-profit and non-profit organizations. He currently is Chairman or Director of a number of environmental and business organizations. The position Beck draws attention to is Strong's position on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Climate Exchange. The exchange is a trading market, much like the New York Stock Exchange, which would operate on the basis of buying and selling carbon credits.
Strong also serves on the advisory board for Toyota International. This fact is important because Beck has accused the Obama administration of purposefully being harsh on Toyota in order to bolster General Motors. Yet, Beck also claims that Strong has some kind of control over the Obama administration. This is a case where two of Beck's conspiracy theories collided in order to create a black hole of contradiction from which he can not escape, but let us move back to Beck's Crime Inc. conspiracy theory.
Much like all Beck conspiracy theories, the Crime Inc. theory makes sense if you really do not think critically about it. Here you have a man named Maurice Strong who is secretly pulling strings behind the scenes in order to orchestrate a global cap-and-trade regime from which he can benefit. However, a closer examination may reveal some problems with Beck's theory. Here is what one must accept as true in order to believe Beck's conspiracy theory.
(1) That global warming is not, in fact, real despite the scientific consensus behind the concept.
(2) That all these scientists are being controlled by people like Strong and not one has come forward to expose the grand conspiracy.
(3) That Strong and people like him are not just mistaken about global warming, but that they know they are mistaken and still press forward with the lies.
(4) That Strong has the ability, as Chairman of the Chicago Climate Exchange (which most people have never heard of), to bring down the global economy with the help of Al Gore.
(5) That Strong is sabotaging the global economy and working out this scheme without anyone blowing the whistle on him.
(6) That Strong has the ability to influence 60 United States Senators to pass climate change legislation.
(7) That Strong has a financial stake in the Climate Change Exchange, and could execute financial moves to benefit from climate change legislation. Numerous laws (most notably those dealing with insider trading) would likely prevent Strong from making such moves.
There are many more assumptions necessary to believe Beck's conspiracy theory, but I will stop there having proven my point.
Over the coming days Beck will unveil more and more seemingly damning information about Strong. He will likely bring out allegations (unproven) that Strong had a role in the Iraqi oil-for-food scandal. What Beck will never do, is establish with clear and convincing evidence either an intention, or ability of Strong to actually implement the kind of global government Beck fears. Beck made many accusations against Van Jones, but never produced any actual decisions by Jones as Green Jobs Adviser to implement a communist agenda which was the heart of Beck's attack against Jones.
And while Beck makes these loose connections between environmentalist and cap-and-trade, he will never question the motives of energy companies who are trying desperately to defeat climate change legislation. Beck is quick to criticize environmentalist for any potential profit they may make, but when oil companies fight climate change to secure their profits this is just good ole' free market capitalism.
Finally, if you believe that Strong is somehow motivated financially by perpetuating a climate change fraud, then you must also necessarily believe the worst about Beck. Under the same kind of reasoning, Beck has a financial incentive to perpetuate lies about Strong. If Beck can convince his audience of the lies then he certainly stands to benefit from the increased ratings and sponsorships that go with them. If we question the motives of Strong behind climate change, then we must also question the motives of Beck in spinning his own narrative of Strong.

If we strapped Beck to a lie detector; paraded hundreds of witnesses with documents & videos, you wouldn't care. First of all, the point Mr. Beck DID NOT make, probably because he assumed you had passed 4th grade science, is that increased plant growth would mean a huge increase in oxygen being produced by plants. Obviously, he should not have assumed that.
And actually, there is a rather large community of scientists that refute the global warming theory. Why don't you "play journalist", research and report on it in an unbiased manner as you are supposed to do? The rest of the mainstream leftwing media won't do it because they know what it means for them and their political bosses.

Beck is 100% correct!!! Strong is a puppet of the Rothchilds. His wife has started a 'earth based' religion in Colorado. The CCX is creating a whole new 'derivative class'. The globalists just won't stop.

Ryan, that was a fair, fact-based piece of a fraud, pushing fraud, about fraud to a thankfully small portion of our population. My eighty-three year-old father never misses it. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me. Reagan made a great show of tossing out those White House solar panels. It would be a better country today if we had stayed on that path. Gigi, Glenn Beck spent 5 minutes this morning (leading up to a Goldline commercial) begging his audience to make peace with their maker because the end is coming starting with the burning of Europe. Given that, I think he's fair game for the rest of our insults.

They say he lied about John Holdren's human sterilization opinions. I checked & he was reading Holdren's own words from a book he co-wrote many years ago.
The rest of the 'lies' they claim he told, are just that they don't like the 'conclusions' he's come to, no matter how much evidence he presents.

What I enjoy most, aside from the fact that GB has been extremely effective, is watching Media Matters self destruct. I love that. They never really had credibility. It is this insane notion of conspiracy they foster. The tag wears out fast.

The Guardian.co.uk has an interesting article about Beck's coverage of Maurice Strong. The author is Leo Hickman and appears to consider Media Matters a credible source. It has a link to Strong's website that rebuts the falsehoods as outright lies. A commentor on the Hickman post noted that we already have a one world government you just have to buy your way into it.

1. Holdren discussed methods of 'population control' in a book, but was not 'advocating' them? He also made no statement denouncing them. If you read his own words they are frightening.
2. Andy Stearn visited the White House more than anyone else (during the first 6 months of Obama's administration.)
3. The <10% private sector came from J Cembaisest, Chief Investment officer JP Morgan Bank. He applied the same standards used with other administrations, but admitted when pressed he should have counted Salazar which would have increased his percentage to 10.5% -still the lowest) (Beck got the research from Forbes.Com)
4. The 'dog' provision came from a provision to cover Vet expenses under certain circumstances.
5. Beck should have said 45% of Drs said they would 'consider' quitting.
6. Haven't you heard of 'Climate Gate'. The cat's out of the bag!

1) All of the authors have denounced it as a "mischaracterization of our views based on misreadings of our textbook". 2) Most frequent visitor in first six months was Lewis Sachs from the Treasury Dept. at 92 times. 3) That's Micheal Cembalest and of the nine positions he studied seven had private sector experience. 6) The so-called smoking gun e-mails that comprise "climate-gate" have been proven to be misrepresented but you have to get out of the alternate reality bubble that is right-wing media to discover that.

They show nothing but love yet the evil 'right-wing media'(ROFLMAO!!) always shows them in a bad light. We should not read their words or listen to their speeches but rather just understand that they care about our well being and blissfully go about our lives.
There were people in Germany who made the mistake of questioning and taking literally the writings of a certain leader. Notice how those people were proven wrong as he showed what a fair leader he was. His writings were obviously misunderstood.

I remember the media declaring that Obama was being 'mischaracterized' by the 'radical' information that was coming out about him during the campaign. But somehow when he got in office he bahaved exactly as I thought he would.
The Climate-Gate emails could not be misunderstood, any more than the patriotic words of Reverend Writght, unless by choice.
