The Rifqa Bary case has had my attention since it began. Rifqa Bary is a seventeen year-old Christian who converted from Islam. Her conversion was displeasing to her family and it became a possible life and death issue when radicals at her father's mosque, Noor Islamic Cultural Center, began to involve themselves.
In a scene worthy of the medieval times, members of the mosque said her father needed to "get her under control." This began the saga we are witnessing today. Rifqa fled to Florida because she feared for her life but her parents claim there was no issue at all. They claim she was brainwashed. I will leave the that for others to fight over. In my opinion, any man in 2009 who demands his wife be covered properly, is probably familiar with brainwashing. For you guys at home, try this on your wife next time you go out.
People who constantly go up against Islamic radicals in this country have taken up this young lady's cause and the media as a whole has tried to spin it as right-wing extremists attacking peaceful Muslims.
Well, that's not quite what is happening here.
The father's mosque, and Columbus itself, is a hotbed of radicalism. There should be a book What's wrong with Ohio? Islamic fundamentalist Salah Sultan was a resident scholar at Noor Islamic Cultural Center. He calls for the death of Jews and constantly appeals to Palestinians to martyr their children. Over there he is not radical at all. Over there he could write children's television programs.

Michael Kruse of the St. Petersburg Times is an obvious leftist detractor of anybody who goes up against CAIR or his sense of political correctness. CAIR is backing Mohamed Bary against his daughter Rifqa, and Kruse describes Rifqa as blowing kisses and wearing dark red nail polish in the courtroom.
This is behavior that would stir the emotions of radical Muslims who make sure their women are "properly covered." Laymen may be unfamiliar with this concept but Kruse knows damn well what he did.
The Pakistan Daily wrote a piece completely "devaluing" her as a pregnant trollop, which they have now pulled.
Her Wikipedia entry was scrubbed and a Face Book page was created with the description "We need to kill her." Over one hundred members joined before Face Book took the page down after it was exposed.
On September 11th, 2009, Governor Ted Strickland demanded that the case of Rifqa Bary be handled in Ohio's courts and that she would be safe there. Governor Ted Strickland, a Democrat, has been a CAIR supporter for some time now. The fact that a Governor who actively supports the CAIR, wants to return this young woman into the fundamentalist atmosphere he oversees in Columbus, should give the legal authorities in Florida some pause. The FBI has severed ties with CAIR, whose officials were found guilty of having ties with Hamas.
Davi Barker, who claims to have "contacts in Ohio on the case" tells the world that finding Rifqa Bary is an easy thing to do.
"I'll tell you one thing reader... if she's not safe in Ohio, she's not safe in Florida. All it took was a little creative Googling and I was able to determine the likely address where she's staying... But I digress."
I digress too pal. What business does a grown man have telling other grown men that an underage girl's residence is easy to find? Davi Barker has crossed the line. His judgment that Rifqa Bary is a liar has emboldened him to dangle a carrot before others that she may be easy to find. This is an underhanded and cowardly act of a man who's growing contempt for an underage girl is evident with each successive article he writes about her. What kind of "contacts in Ohio on the case" is he talking about? Here is an excerpt of one of his comments, emphasis added:
"Political violence in the Muslim world today is not consistent in Islamic history, and it is not caused by Islam. It is the result of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in 1924, and the subsequent dividing of territory arbitrarily by British and American powers... to export resources."
That's right it's America's fault. Do we make them watch that terrorist Mickey Mouse show too?
There is so much more going on in this case that I encourage everyone to take a look at it. No matter what the outcome, I am sure it is going to be interesting. How the media in America missed the dozens of sociopolitical intrigues is unanswerable. It's inexcusable.
How so many get away with harassing, defaming and "trying to locate" a young woman who fears for her life, is a disgrace.

You make some pretty strong charges against my state and city. You have anything factual to back this stuff up? By that I mean, original sources (as opposed to WND quoting Atlas Shrugs quoting Jihadwatch quoting WND, etc). The cops have had Rifqa's laptop and were able to track her through email and phone records. Has ANYONE used these means to substantiate the allegation that representatives of Noor asked Rifqa's father to "take care of things?" Or further--where did this charge originate? We might have Rifqa's taqke on it, were it not for the gag order.

I made no attempt to seek out this address, it merely came out of my investigative process. Also, as stated, if a person is genuinely concerned for Rifqa’s safety, as I am, her safety in Florida is equally as important as Ohio, and I stress the importance of actual security and not security theater. This is important information, just as large corporations hire hackers to test their web security. I have collected the contact info for the Ohio and Florida authorities provided by AtlasShrugs and am informing them how I came across this information so they can remove it if they feel its a threat.
I have taken a stance against the punishment for apostasy, in favor of Rifqa’s emancipation, against collective guilt, and presumed innocence for all parties.

I am trying to imagine what I would do if my daughter converted to Islam. She is being raised an Atheist, but that is not the point. I would sacrifice absolutely everything to get her out of Islam. I would have no regard for any muslim that stood in my way. There would be no appeal you could make to me to stop my efforts. But I can't imagine threatening to kill her. That I can't imagine.

I recently wrote a 5-part exposé on the Islam and freedom, as it relates to Rifqa Bary's claims. Muslim countries have corrupt governments, restrict freedom, oppress women, and limit economic freedom. The United Nations says there are about 5,000 honor killings each year. And yet we have below many denials and excuses about this behavior. Isn't that interesting?

Vincent--while there is no such thing, legally speaking, as a finding of innocence (or being "cleared" as you put it), the presumption of innocence being afforded to all unless/until proven guilty--investigations by several agencies now have determined there to be no evidence of threat or abuse by Mr. Bary. The family has been investigated by both the Columbus Police and Franklin County Children's Services--both reported that there is no evicene of danger. FDLE has investigated. One must presume that their findings were not helpful to Stemberger's case--since he endorsed the GAL's request to stop parading every bit of information in the papers or online. Clearly Stemberger has had no problem with posting stuff (including the familiy's home address) that suits his purpose.
But, to return to the questions that I posed. I don't find the suggestion to google and have a field day to be responsible journalism. Do you have a single original (not a blog) sourece?
Vince--what the judge "smelled" in this case is a lot of political pressure. The Governor announced that Florida would do everything they could to keep Rifqa safe (and in Florida). The state head of DCF and the gov's representative were both present in the court. Don't you think that might make it just a bit tough to follow protocol--which in any other case would be to return this minor to her home state to sort out the family issues. Looks to me like the judge is eager to get out of the middle--thats why he is so insistent on mediation. Stemberger has been back-pedalling on that--trying to insist that the family participate face to face rather than virtually. Mediation doesn't have an audience--and the goal is not to prove who's right but to get the parties to formulate an agreement. That is not his agenda.
Yeah okay pal. That's why she is still in Florida.
The judge insisted on mediation because mediation can bring out things that might not come out in court and it is confidential. Plus, mediation may have been a way for her to CHOOSE to go home. Something that you can't make her do, no matter how bad you want it. But I digress...
My commentary is not about the court case, as was stated. So if you are done defending your CAIR loving Gov and the Hamas crazies straight out of Columbus, you can go to an article that DOES argue the case.

Sheikh Qaradawi and another associate, ARE banned from entering the US. Soltan was denied citizenship. He cannot be a citizen because of his crazy ranting about apostasy & killing Jews. His "Death to America" speech & 9/11 Truther garbage didn't help either.

The first thing I noticed about this case is the fact that her lawyer states that her parents are strict fundamentalist Muslims.If that really was the case she would not be appearing in all of those cheerleading photos with her hair neck and legs showing.I have some knowledge of this case and from what I have gathered my common sence tells me that this is a smart young women that for whatever reason wanted to run away from home and pulled a "Susan smith" Instead of saying a blackman kidnappped her kids as Susan smith did(lie) to absolve herself of guilt and fan the flames of prejudice.She blames her "evil" Muslim parents for threatening to kill her for apostasy.Because she's smart eough to know the right wing media would trip all over themselves to expose the evils of Islam and to protect the poor little Christain girl who in her own words"Just wants to worship Jesus".I`m not buying it! Lets just see how this plays out before make up our minds.
