Shame is alive and well and his name is Glenn Beck

Fox News station's newest attack dog, Glenn Beck, appears to have developed a wicked case of Rush Envy. Apparently suffering from the dysfunctions of a smaller paycheck and a tinier---audience---than Limbaugh, Glennyboy lowered the dung bar at Fox when he referred to Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu as a ‘high-priced prostitute'; describing to listeners and then viewers, how Ms. Landrieu leveraged her support of the healthcare reform bill in the Senate in exchange for millions in aid for her home state.

Clearly, Beck's pronouncement that ‘I guess shame is dead. Shame died' after his diatribe on his television show was premature, because Beck's got so much shame in his skivvies he should be walking like Yosemite Sam to make room for the steaming loads of it bubbling down his pant-legs.

Picture this holiday scene as he arrives home from a tough day at Fox News tar pits:
His tittering children greet him at the front door asking, ‘Daddy, Daddy, what did you do at work today? Interview the President? Skype the Pope?'

His nose purple like Andy Capp's and his cheeks red from the inside out from the cold, Beck kneels to be on their level---but still a level above either of his shows---wraps his girls in his pea-coat warmth and crows, "Oh, Daddy brought home more bacon by calling some bad liberal women trollops and hoes", he says. "Hey, I've got an idea! Let's go have some pretzels and ginger ale and tune in Uncle Lou Dobbs' new show!"

Glenn Beck is first and foremost and entertainer who has managed to carve out a good living and nothing more. With several best-selling books and a new contract that still leaves him bazillions a year behind Limbaugh, it's conceivable that he'll shamelessly poke any 8-foot gator in the eye with a conservative wand or his ‘Plan', just so he can cruise in Rush's wake.

Let's review, America: Landrieu clarifies that she supported a vote for cloture of the bill to the tune of $300 million--not 100 million-and Beck tells his audience, "Well I'm sorry, so we know you're hookin', but your just not cheap! It's 300 million dollars. She went on to point out that there's bipartisan support for this money in Louisiana. Ohhh! Well, how about it there support in Texas? How about Washington, are you for it? Oregon? You cool? Ohio? Are you good with it? Ohhh that's great"

So, a United States Senator merely votes for cloture so the health reform bill can be debated; in exchange, said Senator is smart enough to horse trade and gain in exchange close to $300 million to be used for Louisiana's Medicare fund to help victims of Katrina---who, shamefully, are still waiting for help since 2004---but this political trade is deemed shameless by Glennyboy?!

Wonder of wonders, what might Glenn Beck think about the minor issue of the Catholic Church shamelessly lobbying elected officials to insert abortion restrictions in any impending healthcare bill while at the same time threatening to obstruct any bill that omits the funding restrictions, while said politicians shamefully allow the bill to be linked to the issue? In Beck's vernacular, ‘ Papal pimping', perhaps?

Or, perhaps pimping himself and fellow Fox enforcer Bill(yClub) O'Reilly in the ‘Bold and Fresh Tour 2010' and pocketing the profits is just good capitalism at work. No, these gentleman won't be strapping mattresses to their backs and hitting the boulevard for charity, no Sir: for just $45-$125 a pop the average American can pay to attend the Shameful and Shameless Tour, and while their at it, dig deep to buy O'Reilly and Beck's various publications, CD's, and other shamelessly inspiring tripe.

What's that, you say? You're ashamed because you don't know the details of the Shameful and Shameless Tour? Well, according to their web site, the tour is designed to be a roving answer to ‘liberal bias spewed by the mainstream media which makes them less like a public service and more like an extension of the White House Press Office'.

In a breathless bio about Glennyboy on the tour page, Beck is described as "the new kid on the block", the "fastest rising star in cable news", "steeped (like a TEABAGGER?) in the teachings of our forefathers". There are other shameless descriptions of Beck as having "the raw emotion and tenacity of a pit bull", and this reference to his shameless platitudes and positions, "..he's got the facts to back it up".

Does he now?

I wonder if Beck will be the slightest bit ashamed after lighting into Senator Landrieu not once, but twice, if the public is reminded that due to his confirmed propensity to the shameful fits and starts caused by ADHD, as recently as September, 2009, Glennboy succumbed to yet another attention-grabbing moment when he told Katie Couric on the CBS Evening News about the election:

"I think John McCain would have been worse for the country than Barack Obama", he told Couric in the debut episode of her new web show, @katiecouric.

According to the Huffington Post, Beck's comment came in response to a question about Hillary Clinton, "who Beck said he may have even voted for had she been the Democratic nominee against John McCain". Specifically, and shamelessly, Glennyboy added, "I can't believe I'm saying this", he said. "I think I would have much preferred (Hillary Clinton) as president and may have voted for her against John McCain".

Well, Glenn Beck is a genuinely hateful, horrible person. Enough said. Is there anything else to wonder about? It's sad and scary that so many people are falling into his hellish doomsday cult. The guy's a moron, and frankly, it's extremely embarrassing that so many Americans would be this gullible.

I don’t think she was the first nor the last to have her vote bought, and it was bought. Let’s not forget that a republican representative from the same state was bought off also.

Is she a prostitute?...Let the public decide, but for $300,000,000 I sure expect to get f###ed more than once!

It is not even 2010 yet and already you can just feel the desperation creeping into the loony-liberals out there. Barack Obama is on the road to failure, the Dems are at each others throats and more Americans are realizing they made a mistake in '08. It is absolutely delicious and I can't wait to see how far the Dumbocrats collapse in the face of a declining economy, rising unemployment, out of control debt and an angry electorate.

Hope and change? Most people are hoping to have some spare change in their pocket after Obama gets done. Really, he is on course to make Jimmy Carter look good. As for Beck and Limbaugh, they are just going to hammer your Messiah for the rest of his only term. In the end, no one is going to give a flying monkey fart about your little piece, especially after Conservative sweeps in 2010 and 2012. You and your ilk along with Bowing Barack should just enjoy the time you have left the best you can.

Geez - Am I reading this correctly? Criticizing Beck and Limbaugh really brings these guys out! They actually think Glenn Beck has a brain? Bring it on MickNY. The Republican party is in shambles. Zero ideas. Zero intellect. Just a bunch of hateful sore losers. Bring me back the days of William F. Buckley, when at least you guys brought something to the table. Pathetic.

In any other aspect of society, this is a Bribe. And people go to jail. People in the SLC Olympics went to jail for much less. Mitt Romney cleaned it up.

Jay Leno made note of Beck's and Rush's comments on Landrieu, as being a 300 million dollar hooker, and Leno's punch line was

"And Gov. Spitzer asked for her number".

Spin it anyway you like glenn, it is what it is. How did you do with instilling values with your kids, bud?

At least Republicans will reprimand their own. Libs never do. They contiually try to defend the indefensible, if it's, their guy.

    Beck won't.

Showing once again, that Liberals have "NO STANDARDS, WHATSOEVER."

Barney Frank's loverboys ran prostitution rings out of his home and are busted with pot plants and he is running the Banking system.

    Hey glenn osrin,
If we decide to borrow money in you and your children's name and use it any way we damn well please, then send you the bill, making you legally liable for the debt, how would you feel?

Glenn, I may be on the ‘opposite side’ but one reason I enjoy reading your columns is they get me to thinking; something my rabidly conservative counterparts are loathe to do, especially when all they do is drink the high-octane hate that Fox News spins and Limbaugh farts out of his horridly bloated and grotesque personage. The sad truth is ALL politicians of ALL stripes and colors in this country are ALL whores. I just find it exceedingly unfortunate and a poor prediction for the rest of the human race that moronic imbeciles like Bluto on your board resort to personal attacks on you and your children, all because you exposed some unflattering truths about Beckerhead.
I mean, you even left out certain things like: a) he is allegedly a recovering alcoholic who is clearly not displaying any type of recovery program because all he does is act ‘dry’: restless, irritable, and discontented. b) you didn’t mention that 3 years ago Beck disappeared from his show on CNN for

There really are not 2 parties. There are two ways of thinking. In general Democrats are emoters. They feel. They base decisions on how they wish the world was, but have no concern for unintended consequences, cost, or if they are stealing life, liberty, or property from others. They are tyrannical dictators that can only spew hate, fear, and name-call like the bullies on the playground. While Republicans are thinkers. They like facts. Deal with the real world and are able to see the big picture.
Progressive liberals have been working for the last 100 years to change the world and here it is! A global recession being made worse by a Marxist American president.
Glenn Orsin calls Glenn Becks show a "diatribe" which is a bitter and abusive speech or writing.
I think that Glenn Orsin needs to ask for his college tuition back, since he obviously didn't learn anything worth a dime!

Glenn Beck is a Patriot and a Scholar. He speaks the truth! And is funny as hell, to boot.

Libs can't refute his knowledge with specificity. Just call names. Peckerhead, Becky, Alcoholic, Cry Baby, Racist,
    Bigot, Homophobe, Un-American. etc.

Yet, Never, and I mean Never, can they, nor do they, attempt to debate him on the issues. Not only could Beck's critics never pass a tenth grade debate course, most 3rd graders have more debating skills.

For a guy who is "just and entertainer", he sure is exposing alot of the Chicago style corruption which has been imposed upon this Nation.

Sure have been alot of resignations for a guy who is just an Olberman-Becker(pecker)head. At least be original, Libs.

    And Joann-

"IT'S NOT THEIR MONEY TO BE HANDING OUT. THEY ARE STEALING IT FROM US AND FUTURE GENERATIONS, AND SENDING US/THEM THE BILL."

Then again, what would you libs know about honesty. You've been stealing elections with your Acorn type thugs since Kennedy.

Alan - everything you posted is an opinion. You aren't listing facts. For example, your first paragraph:
"In general Democrats are emoters. Deal with the real world and are able to see the big picture."
There is nothing there to fact check. You are just spewing your over prejudices. Try making an attempt to read and consider Osrin's article, and then if you disagree, make a solid argument.
