Business executive Tom Wiggans filed paperwork with the Secretary of State’s office establishing his campaign committee in the race to become the next Governor of Kansas. Mr. Wiggans has never ran for public office before but believes that his experience makes me the best candidate to lead our state through the current financial crisis, create economic growth and good-paying jobs and keep our young people in Kansas.
Wiggans has had a successful career starting and leading various bioscience and pharmaceutical companies that have created hundreds of jobs while developing new treatments for infertility, heart disease, Lou Gehrig’s disease, and kidney, liver, and skin cancers.
Among Wiggans supporters is former Republican State Senator Wint Winter Jr., who is serving as his campaign Treasurer.
Tom, currently lives in Olathe with his wife Kathryn, a nurse, and their two teenage daughters, Liz and Amanda.
