Sharia court lashes 14-yr-old rape victim to death

It's being reported that a 14-yr-old Bangladeshi girl, Hena Begum, died from punishment for "immoral sexuality".

According to various news reports, as the young girl slept in her home, she was kidnapped and raped by her cousin, Mahbub Khan, age 40.

When villagers responded to her cries for help, along with them came not only the local imam, but members of the village's Sharia Court, as well.

Hena was taken to the local fundamentalist Islamic school (correctly called a "Madrassa" or "Madras"), and was locked in a single room until the following day.

She was charged by the Sharia Court of "immoral sexuality" before marriage.

According to The Hudson Institute, after a finding of guilty, rape-victim Hena was sentenced to 200 lashes.

During the imposition of punishment, Hena became unconscious and was eventually rushed to a nearby hospital, where the attending doctors declared her dead.

The rapist, Mahbub Khan, was found guilty of rape and fined ৳10,000 (Bangladeshi Taka, roughly $150), and according to AOL News, an undisclosed number of lashes.

Khan escaped, but was eventually apprehended by Bangladeshi authorities.

Khan has since been charged with murder, along with four other people, including an unnamed Muslim cleric.

  • And this is the law that some want to implement in the US so we can be politically sensitive to our Muslim residents. BAH! Let them go back to the countries of their origin if our laws are not sufficient for their sadistic virtues.
