That same man has decided to pass on throwing out the ceremonial First Pitch of the Washington National's home opener this Thursday.
Without citing a reason why the Chief Executive is blowing off this honor, the Washington Nationals simply stated on their website that;
The Ceremonial First Pitch of the 2011 season will be thrown by the following five flag officers representing each branch of the military:•Vice Admiral Michael Vitale of the U.S. Navy
• Major General Karl Horst of the U.S. Army
• Lieutenant General Richard Y. Newton III of the U.S. Air Force
• Lieutenant General Terry G. Robling of the U.S. Marine Corps
• Rear Admiral Paul Zukunft of the U.S. Coast Guard
But in all fairness, after seeing that spazz attack of a pitch he threw last year, it's understandable why he's tucking tail this year.
