Cain beats Obama in NC poll - Tops Nevada straw poll - Wins in Iowa

A surging Herman Cain can't seem to lose. The life-long extraordinarily successful businessman also appears to have the Midas Touch when it comes to recent polls.

In yesterday's released poll results from the Raleigh, NC-based Civitas Institute, GOP Presidential hopeful Herman Cain was pitted head-to-head against Barack Obama.

Cain won by a full 5 percentage points.

Of those polled, "Cain is the choice of 46 percent of North Carolina voters if the election for President of the United States was today and the candidates were Herman Cain the Republican, and Barack Obama the Democrat. Forty-one percent said they would vote for Obama, and 10 percent said they are undecided."

As Civitas Institute President Francis De Luca stated, "To borrow a pun that is going around, this seems to be one HermanCain that Carolinians would not mind blowing into the state."

Meanwhile, On The Other Side Of The Continent...

According to The Washington Times, Cain also was the victor in today's Western Republican Leadership Conference straw poll of Republican presidential candidates.

Cain pulled in nearly 31% of the vote, while former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney received almost 29%. Slightly more than 20% went to Former Speaker of the House, Rep. Newt Gingrich. Texas Rep. Ron Paul ended with about 10%, Texas Governor Rick Perry Picked up just under 4%, and Minnesota's Rep. Michele Bachmann had a miniscule 1%.

As quoted by The Times, "David Mansdoerfer, of Citizen Outreach, the poll sponsor, said the results aren’t surprising. "Herman Cain has spent a lot of time in Nevada and it shows," he said. "You can see people reacting to his message about the economy and job creation."

Here I Am, Stuck In The Middle With You...

And in the nation's heartland, Cain all but ran away with today's Iowa State Hawkeye Poll.

Asked if the caucuses were held today, 37% chose Cain, while 27% went with Romney, and Congressman Ron Paul took a distant third with a meager 12%.

The remaining candidates all drew single digits, ranging from Gingrich's 8% to Huntsman's 1%.
