It's a mockery of genuine racism to hear someone cry "Racist!" because Bill Clinton's claim that he was the "first black president" is bandied about. For true examples, take a look at both Mel Gibson and Oliver Stone - each on different sides of the political debate.
These two celebrities prove racism isn't a partisan, conservative right-wing affliction. No one could be more progressive than Oliver Stone and - Gibson? -why he's a moderate. Stone stood up for Mel after his racist rants, will Mel return the favor?

I'm not shocked by what he's said, he's always been a total psycho.....
but so too is anyone who denies that many US policy makers put Israeli national interests ahead of US interests.
He is not going to help his reputation as an antisemitic guy if he goes through with his rumored movie: Braveheart 2: The Jews and Blacks Storm Malibu.

What was the toxic stereotype in question? Is it the stereotype of the Jewish lobbiests being hard working? I must have missed something. I think the NRA lobbiests are pretty hard working and effective too.
Scapegoats aren't always innocent. Hitler wasn't innocent, he was the brand name of evil. There were other players on team evil, Ford of Ford automobiles comes to mind. Was Ford as evil as Hitler? Probably not, but he wasn't condemned like Hitler either. People can't even get away with grooming themselves in the style of Hitler yet we can all drive Ford cars and trucks.
I know, its the claim that Israel has F-to-the-D up US foreign Policy for years. OH I see, Stone is saying Jewish Lobbing organizations have been too effective for his political views. That the US caves in too easily to Israel's needs and desires. I guess the degree to which you are adverse to that statement depends on how you view Israel's birth and its role in the middle east.
Now I am not Jewish and really do not socialize much, but what is an interesting point to me is how we white folk view racism? Make a remark about a Jewish man and you get a snicker, use the n word and you should just go ahead and and pull the trigger on yourself.

Adolph Hitler did not commit all the war atrocities by himself. It took tens of thousands of soldiers who were willing to blindly obey orders. It took millions of Germans to actively participate, or at least look the other way. And, it took the rest of the world to not do anything.

FDR and the US government maintained strict immigration restrictions and denied hundreds of thousands of European Jews sanctuary from the Nazis.

I did not say we entered the war specifically to end the Holocaust, I disputed the statement ‘the world stood by and did nothing‘…ie WWII…
America was a reluctant participant in both WWI and WWII. We had to be dragged kicking and screaming into both. We were ill prepared for such a massive confrontation, and had no desire to be the world’s watchdog and protector. However because of Germany, the Nazi’s, and what they were doing, the world did go to war, and once America joined in, the tide turned and the Nazi terror ~ and inhalation of the Jews ended. The world did do something, and the end result is the same. (Also, I am no big fan of FDR.)
I agree that there is shame to be shared worldwide ~ and just like 9/11, may we never forget….and never let history repeat itself.
Hardly 'reluctant' in WW II; FDR did everything possible to take sides in Europe and to back the Japanese into a corner until they started something. But that had nothing to do with the Holocaust; FDR was as anti-semitic as most of the rest of Americans and even most American Jewish leaders at the time were opposed to Zionism and wanted nothing to do with their European cousins.
