Arizona Law: Brewer filed expedited appeal as protesters chain themselves to Sheriff Joe's jail

As  anti illegal immigration enforcement advocates flood Arizona streets with protestors, as protestors chain themselves outside Sheriff Joe's jail, Governor Brewer's legal staff has  filed a petition to lift the restrictions that prevent Arizona's immigration enforcement law taking effect.

Brewer is optimistic that their case will be heard by the Ninth Circuit Court soon. Though Governor Brewer is requesting a super expedited time line, it has been said that the earliest this case could be heard is four weeks from now.

Still Arizona's legal staff has hopes, because it is both a constitutional issue and because it is exceedingly rare for a federal judge to enjoin state law, that the case may be heard even earlier.

When asked about the protestors by Neil Cavuto,  Sheriff Joe Arpaio said, "They are standing in front of our doors that we put prisoners in," explaining some were chaining themselve there followed by the warning that, "If they don't move, they are going to be arrested."

Mocking the busloads of imported protestors from California, Arpaio was unfazed, laughing,  "...at least they're not boycotting. Hope they spend some money while they are here."

Who bussed those protesters in?

Members of the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition

"The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition formed on September 14, 2001. It is a coalition of hundreds of organizations and prominent individuals and scores of organizing centers in cities and towns across the country. Its national steering committee represents major national organizations that have campaigned against U.S. intervention in Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia, and organizations that have campaigned for civil rights and for social and economic justice for working and poor people inside the United States."

  1. Repeal Arizona’s SB 1070 and HB 2281!
  2. No to all anti-immigrant legislation!
  3. No human being is illegal—Full rights for all!
  4. Stop Joe Arpaio!
  5. End all racial profiling and police brutality!
  6. Stop the raids and deportations now!Stop the budget cuts!
  7. Jobs, healthcare, education and housing—not war!

Union members led by the Los Angeles County Federal of Labor, AFL-CIO
"The L.A. County Federation of Labor supports comprehensive immigration reform and a path toward citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants throughout the country. America is a land of immigrants, and immigrants today play an indispensable role throughout our society and economy. We oppose the attempts to scapegoat immigrant workers, and we oppose workplace raids. The labor movement and immigrant communities stand together in our demand for a fair and just immigration system".

This morning on Fox News, a constitutional attorney slammed the law, claiming it's unconstitutional because we can't have one law in Arizona and another in some other state. The attorney  defensively added when asked if this would be a defining moment in Elections 2010 and 2012 for the Obama administration , "I don't think Americans should hold the president accountable... if you don't like the law, change the law."

Governor Brewer doesn't like U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton ruling of law and she's off to have the ruling changed as soon as possible.

NEW OBAMA OFFICIALS' MEMOS SHOW PLAN TO AMNESTY MILLIONS WITHOUT ANY VOTE IN CONGRESS

They show Obama Administration officials offering a detailed plan that would offer actual or de facto amnesty to millions of illegal aliens without Congress ever taking a vote.

In this way, the Administration would be able to reap the thanks of all the cheap-labor, outlaw industries relying on illegal labor, as well as the entire pro-illegal voter base.

But no Member of Congress would have a vote for amnesty on his/her record while facing elections.

Sharon, you are absolutely right. National Review has obtained a copy of the Amnesty Memo ~~

According to an internal U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services memo going the rounds of Capitol Hill and obtained by National Review, the agency is considering ways in which it could enact “meaningful immigration reform absent legislative action” — that is, without the consent of the American people through a vote in Congress.

See the memo and read the story at ~

Øbama and his administration are once again bypassing the Congress, the rule of law, and the will of the American people. They must be STOPPED!!!

Arizona Boycott Update: Hotel Bookings are Up

    [ Via: Fox News ]
Arizona’s tourism industry has a target on its back, but the widespread boycotts over the state’s immigration law might not be hitting the mark.
Recent data compiled by a market research group show hotel bookings across the state — as well as in tourism hot spots Phoenix and Scottsdale — have been on the rise the past two months.
The numbers could dispel warnings from local officials that Arizona stands to lose a fortune and dampen the chances that cities and organizations will be able to compel the state to reverse its immigration law by choking its economy with a sanctions-style business boycott.
. . . Can the Left do nothing correctly? How hard is it to boycott a state???

    Hi Sharon, Amy, Deni,

Sharon, you betcha I received that email. Among other things, for those who have not, it seems that Obama plans to revise down the standards for hardship amnesty. In that way, Obama could take a big ol' stamp of approval and blanket "hardship/parole" large groups of illegals.

Stamp - approved for hardship or Parole Granted
Stamp - approved for hardship or Parole Granted
Stamp - approved for hardship or Parole Granted
Stamp - approved for hardship or Parole Granted

With the below "Amnesty" stamp, Obama could amnesty as many as he had folks to stamp their documents between now and Election 2012 election.

What a small thing that any sort of blanket amnesty is supposed to be approved through the legislature. No biggie, just a few revisions here and a few revisions there, wink - nod and it's done.

    hahaha, Deni!

I'm cracking up. Hope Sheriff Joe's chained busloads of imported from CA protesters were paid enough to spend a little in Arizona.

Or will they want to save it for "medication" they will need after a grueling demonstration? Oh well, if so, because of AZ's open border lawlessness, they are in the right place, at the right time.

    Hey meester...

I just watched Sheriff Paul Babeu, Pinal County, AZ sheriff, (thats the county I live in btw) on Greta's show.

He told her about this website ~ bordersheriffs.com/, I urge all of you to go there, and donate if you can.

He said he has been told (ie Holder and DOJ) that they are just waiting for one officer to make a mistake, or just be accused of something under the new Az law ~ and they are gonna slam them with a law suit!

He, and Sheriff Larry A. Dever of Cochise County, Az, have both already been sued by the ACLU!

He said never in his life, has he witnessed a US President go after the rule of law, and worse, law enforcement itself like this.

    It truly is treasonous.

Never in my life did I think I would see the day when our US president and our US DOJ would viciously go after the very people and institutions who risk their lives daily to keep us and our country safe ~~ and all on behalf of a FOREIGN ENTITY and those BREAKING OUR LAWS...Unbelievable

There are thousands of legal immigrants like myself who need to renew and qualify to extend their Visa to be able to stay legal in the USA. We do not have the opportunity to get a Green Card! And there are millions of illegal immigrants who think it is fair that they can get a Green Card!?! That would be the biggest punch in the face for all legal immigrants that pay taxes, create jobs, invest, etc. and still do not get a Green Card.

    Guenter,

GREAT comment! We love LEGAL immigrants like yourself. People who have enough integrity to do it the right way, and who won't trash our flag and our honor once you're a citizen!

I too agree that this is an extreme case of racism and preferential treatment, in terms of latinos from south of our border being allowed to sneak in whenever they want, and folks like you having to play by the rules.

    Sickning is what it is....

YES! What Øbama and his corrupt administration is doing IS a major, dispicable punch in the face to all of you, and to all the legal citizens of our country!

Shout it from every roof top America!!! (and then VOTE THEM OUT!!!)

There should not even be a discussion on this. No amnesty, no illegal immigrants, and someone needs to take a cutting torch to the chains being used. Mayor Villaraigosa may, someday hopefully be charged formally with his part in this. Rangel's ethics violations are mighty weak compared to the anti-Constitutional Villaraigosa.

The question burning a hole in my pocket is, can we impeach Obama for going against and refusing to uphold our constitution?

    I hope so.....I wish...
