Gardenhire Leads Early 2012 cashes for Wichita Regional Poker Players

Courtesy of a World Series of Poker Circuit Tour event win and a final table Ponca City, Oklahoma's, Justin Gardenhire heads the list of Wichita regional poker players cashing in early 2012 poker tournaments.  Winning Event #1, $345 No-Limit Hold’em, at the Choctaw Casino Resort, Oklahoma, for $62,709 and a WSOP gold ring, Gardenhire followed that up by making the final table of Event #11, $1,600 No-Limit Hold’em.  The Main Event of the Choctaw stop on the tour, Gardenhire won $32,771 for his 8th place finish.

Daniel Snowden of Arkansas City, Kansas, continues to make his presense known in the region.  Having won over $370,000 for finishing 2nd in The River tournament at Winstar Casino, OK, back in 2010, Snowden cashed for the second time in two years in the Choctaw Casino WSOP Circuit Tour Main Event.  Following up last year's 21st place finish, Snowden exited 52nd in event #11 for a $4,468 payday.

Ponca City's Travis Hager found success in two circuit events.  Hager earned $1,477 for finishing 15th in Event #6, $345 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em, and another $537 for his 44th place finish in Event #10, $345 Turbo No-Limit Hold'em.

In addition to Gardenhire, Halstead, Kansas', Michael Bollinger cashed in Event #1 as well.  Bollinger earned $527 for his 132nd place exit.

Wichita, Kansas, had three residents cash in the Choctaw circuit events.  Both Bret Persinger (64th) and Mark Barrientos (95th) cashed in Event #2, $345 No-Limit Hold'em.  Persinger walked away with $719 and Barrientos $560.  Kevin Hamersky cashed in Event #6, along with Ponca City's Hager.  Hamersky exited 38th for $483.

In a non-ring Choctaw circuit event I succeeded in cashing in the $235 H.O.R.S.E. tournament held January 17th.  Two other players and I exited in the same round and split 14th and 15th place money, resulting in my cashing for $283.
