How to dress like reality starlet Lauren Conrad

Have you seen one of  MTV’s long running reality show “"The Hills" ”? Well, Lauren Conrad , or LC as she is known on the telly,  is a fashionista with a very classic and modern sense of style. If you have seen some photos of Conrad, this 23 year old wears many outfits of basic and simples combinations of color.

Conrad has been seen not only in “The Hills” but also “Laguna Beach”, which is where I started to follow her. Ever since, I have been an avid Conrad fan and loyal follower of her fashion style.

Conrad is also a clothing designer but news recently reported that she would be taking a break in hopes to make her collection a bit more reasonable for the normal folks.

So, here is a guide is shopping, dressing, and wearing clothing like Lauren “LC” Conrad.

Handbags: Like Lily Allen , Conrad is a big fan of Chanel. Who can blame her? If you can’t afford a Chanel bag, there are some stores who offer similar Chanel type bags. Look for basic colors, like black to pull off her signature look. Think of Chanel type bags and you will be set.
 

• Forever 21 has a fabulous Quilted Box bag in cream for under $20! It is very similar to a classic Chanel quilted bag but insanely affordable.
• Also, Guess by Marciano has a Cambie Quilted Clutch that is very similar to Chanel’s Cambon bag. Guess is offering a price of less than $90!
•  Here is bag from Spiegel. It is a Diamond-Quilted bag that is currently on sale for $39; I might need to grab one for myself!

Skinny jeans: The notorious skinny jeans. A friend to some and a foe to others. If you are a smaller plus size girl who can pull off skinny jeans, then work it girl. If you aren’t one to sport these jeans, look for boot cut jeans. Just be aware that skinny jeans will emphasize your hips if you are triangle shaped.
 

• Lane Bryant’sRightFit offers great boot cut jeans that will flatter your figure!
• Torrid offers skinny jeans and pants that you can purchase as well.

Flannel: This pattern is definitely a hot trend, so if you can’t get your hands on a flannel shirt, go look in your father’s or brother’s closet. If you want to skip the closet and go right to the store here are some places you can get your flannel on.
 

• OneStopPlus has a flannel shirt but it is a tad bit long but you could tie it up or tuck it in.
• Cabela's flannel shirt is a bit more of a softer color but you can still work with it.
• Also, Missphit’splaid shirts are absolutely amazing and surely to impress!

Heels: Conrad has been seen around town with her Christian Louboutins but if you are unable to afford some Louboutins, look at these similar sexy heels.
 

• Look at these ShopBop heels called the Report Signature shoe! For under $180, these shoes are killers and worthy of a night on the town.
• Also, look at Endless’ Velvet Angels Women's Frenzy toe pump.

Boots: Conrad has been seen sporting the fringe suede boot or the basic black boots, either flat or with a heel.
 

• For the fringe suede boot, take a look at Torrid’s Brown Hannah Faux Suede Fringe boot that are stunning and reasonably priced.
• If you want a black basic boot with a heel, also look at Torrid’s Black Jessica Faux Suede boot or for a flat boot, look at Torrid’s Black Lisa Two-Button flat boot.

Dresses: When the weather is better, grab a bohemian type dress, preferably a maxi one. Conrad has been seen shopping around town sporting gorgeous dress, some floor length some not.
 

• Try Torrid’s Plum Paisley Boho maxi dress. Beautiful colors and at a beautiful price!

• Donna Ricco has a stunning tie back floral dress at Nordstroms that is a perfect Conrad match!

Sandals: Conrad has been seen sporting some gladiator sandals and regular flip flops. With a nice maxi dress or with a pair of shorts and a tank, either type of  sandal can make an outfit pop.
 

• Torrid has amazing pairs ofgladiator sandals Some more detail than others but definitely cute.
• Old Navy has a huge collection of sandals that you have to check out and grab a pair!
