Hey! You know that God of War survey thing Sony started way back in April to decide what kind of GoW Collector's Edition content you'd be offered in celebration of the game's release next March?
Well, the results are in, and it looks like PS3 owners just got themselves some bragging rights. Both God of War and God of War II are going to be packaged in a nifty little bundle on BluRay just in time for the holiday season.
The best part? Revamped, hi-def graphics and trophy support FTW! Quoth the Official PlayStation Blog:
Thanks to your feedback, we are excited to announce the God of War Collection for this Holiday Season. Now fans and newcomers to the series can experience the epic journey of God of War and God of War II in 720p HD form. Both titles have been remastered with anti-aliased graphics, running at 60 frames per second for a smooth gameplay experience, only on the PS3 system. Additionally, the Blu-ray Disc compilation will bring the PlayStation Network (PSN) trophy support to the franchise for the very first time.
Good news for longtime fans of the franchise. Even better news for those who missed it the first time around. Retailing for $39.99, you can see the GoW Collector's Edition in stores sometime around the holidays, giving you plenty of time to prepare for GoW III's release in March 2010.
