Dustin Smith is a local government planner with more than 12 years experience in Florida and Kansas communities. He started his planning career in 1997 in Gadsden County, Florida, and most recently was the planning and codes director for the City of Basehor, Kansas. Much of his career has focused on zoning and comprehensive plan administration and development review. He has also served as a consultant on development projects, a neighborhood plan and for the City of Alachua, Florida. Dustin received his master's degree in urban planning from the University of Kansas in 1996. He resides in Platte County, Missouri, with his wife and daughter.
