Chicago's man with the social media plan, Ramon DeLeon of Domino's Pizza, will be speaking at the Gravity Summit Social Media Conference at Harvard University on Monday, August 31. The conference will be live tomorrow on CNN at 1:15 CST (www.cnn.com/live).
Ramon DeLeon is an Owner and the Operations Officer of Domino's Pizza. He is perhaps most well-known for his highly effective social media strategies, most notably through YouTube and Twitter. In the wake of the Domino's Pizza video scandal, Ramon was instrumental in employing some much-needed damage control by reaching out to Domino's eaters through social media outlets, giving them updates on what Domino's was doing in relation to the scandal. He would then follow up on these conversations by discussing all the good things Domino's has to offer--its recent promotions, newly developed technologies, and the overall excellence of what you could expect from Domino's Pizza restaurants. I know how effective Ramon's strategies are in social media use because I have been directly influenced by them. After reading an article I wrote about the Domino's Pizza video scandal, he reached out to me through Twitter and we have been in contact ever since.
To hear what he and other social media masters have to say (including MC Hammer of A&E's Hammertime, Wine Library TV's Gary Vaynerchuk, and Andy Mitchell of CNN), visit CNN.com at 1:15 CST or get more details from Ramon himself via Twitter.

Ramon is expected at TweetCamp Chicago Oct 10. I don't know how he plans to participate in the event (besides bringing the pizza), as it is an "unconference", but he's interesting to hear from one way or another. Consider yourself invited. There's info about it on the Association for Women Journalists-Chicago's website...or you can google it.
