If you are stuck in a rut and need a special incentive to re-start your fitness routine you should try the Columbus Day Celebration boot camp offered by the Tampa Bay Adventure Boot Camp for Women at the Ft. Brooke Park in downtown Tampa, Fla.
This boot camp does not consist of a one time effort though, but runs for four weeks from Oct.19-Nov.13, 2009. Participants can choose between two one-hour outdoor sessions in the morning and select to work out either three or five times a week. The cost is $14.95 per session or $199-$299 for the entire duration of the boot camp depending on the amount of participation days per week. A one-hour nutrition seminar as well as before and after assessments are part of the package.
Benefits include increased strength and endurance, improved self-confidence, inches lost, a tight and toned body and last but not least nutritional education.
Boredom certainly won't be an issue since your body will be challenged with a variety of exercises including core conditioning, short distance walking, jogging, running (one mile or less), muscular strength training, jumping rope, circuit training, sport yoga, fitness kick boxing, pilates, sport drills, obstacle courses, and surprise workouts.
There are no requirements for your current fitness level as individual adjustments can be made as needed.
If you need any further assurance that this boot camp might be worth your while you can check out the features on Fox 13 News and NBC WFLA.
