New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, have found themselves at the receiving end of  a lawsuit related to an incident that happened during a post-wedding day party in Costa Rica earlier this year.

Yuri Cortes, AFP photographer, and Rolando Aviles, photographer for Costa Rican newspaper Al Dia, were on assignment to photograph the couple during the party.

The two photographers made arrangements with a nearby neighbor to use the neighbor's premises as a shooting position during the event.

The lawsuit alleges that bodyguards approached the photographers and demanded their cameras and memory cards. The photographers refused, and after a confrontation escalated, shots were fired at their vehicle as they drove away from the area. The photographers claimed bullets shattered  the rear window of their vehicle and narrowly missed striking both of them in the head.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in New York, is seeking $1 million in damages.
