Ovation TV
"Picture This", Ovation TV's three-part photographer's reality/competition series will be re-broadcast tonight starting at 6:00p.m. ET. The series follows six talented photographers as they battle for the chance to have their photography exhibited at a major gallery along with a book publishing deal.
Ovation TV appears on channel 157 on the Dish network. Check your local TV service provider's program schedule for channel information in your area.
Picture This -- November 29, 2009
6:00 pm - Episode One, Portraiture: The contestants take portraits of the other contestants. The photos should highlight the photographer's style, but be a good representation of the subject's personality. Contestants also have to photograph lournalist and author Germaine Greer for a celebrity portrait.
7:00 pm - Episode Two, Documentary Photography: Contestants have to capture a story on film at a polo match, then find and document a narrative in London's Nightingale Estate, one of the most violent neighborhoods in London.
8:00 pm - Episode Three, Grab Bag: The photographers have to produce a body of work on a theme of their own choosing that showcases his or her character.
Picture This contestants are judged by the distinguished panel of Martin Parr, documentary photographer and photojournalist,; Brett Rogers, Director of London's prestigious Photographers Gallery; and Alex Proud, known as the hippest young gallery owner in London, as well as for his ability to combine commercial savvy with artistic sensibility. Picture This made its U.S. debut on Ovation TV.
