Price is Right host and Cleveland native Drew Carey has a whole new look. In fact, for people who are used to seeing Carey on Price is Right and reruns of his old sitcom, he may be unrecognizable. Carey, who has always been overweight since shooting to stardom, just lost around 80 pounds.

In an interview with Us Magazine, Carey said that he just got "sick of being fat" and decided to lose the weight, hopefully, once and for all. In recent years, especially after taking over for long time Price is Right host Bob Barker, Carey appeared to gain some weight from his sitcom days. However, only with the CBS Summer Press Tour did anything come from Carey himself.

The statement: a dramatic weight loss that left the formerly overweight comedian looking likeĀ half the man he used to be.

For the past few months, various celebrity magazines noted that Carey was dieting and supposedly using a new appetite suppressant to help shed the pounds. However, in statements made to Us, Carey denied using any pills to lose weight. Instead, Carey attributed his success to strict diet and exercise, which was aided by a personal trainer.

Yes, the old ways of doing things still work.

When asked about his motivation, the 52-year old said that he is looking to the future and wants to be fit so he can enjoy a more active life. Carey, once a type 2 diabetic, also claims his weight loss has reversed the disease. Despite already losing around 80 pounds, Carey said that he wants to lose a little more, too. Some sources are already reporting that the 5'10" Carey is down to a 34 inch waist size (no word on his previous size, though).

Either way, it is safe to say that a lot of fans all over the country will be saying "way to go, Drew!"
