What is Spirituality?

The best manner of grasping this theme is thinking on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; and remembering, constantly, the second one is Religion, the drugged-dependant serf with an inclination to evil.

Spirituality is utterly the opposite to Religion, and is considered by this one as its true and old enemy.  Curiously, all religious people think to be ''spiritual'', yet, no one single true spiritual individual shall say he/she is ''religious''.  The key is very simple: religion belongs to the flesh of ideology, whilst spirituality is encircled by the Spirit.

Falling in love is the best way to understand how the Spirit works; being obsessed with someone or something is the best way to grasp what religion means.  A Spiritual person sees not any difference between Buddha or Christ,or between Mohammed and Osiris, however, a religious individual shall not only see huge differences but also she or he will be willing to fight and/or discredit others just for the sake of his/her religion.

The old Mystics understood this fact evident, the Eternal Flame of Love that pervades everything in this Universe is part of the Spirit.  This is why when we read a Christian Mystic, a Jew Mystic or even a Muslim Mystic they all seem to be speaking the same language; indeed, the Language or Logos of the Spirit.

Spirituality is the tolerant art of being able to see into our own heart with the help of the Spirit to make lit the Flame of Understanding, the Eternal Flame of Love.
