Drew came to APL as the result of a humane investigation, emaciated and covered with sores. He tested positive for heartworms and has already been treated. He is good with some dogs if they are submissive, but does not get along with cats. He tends to be protective of his handler, and he does not care for some men (often those who are big and burly). Drew is a total sweetheart once he bonds with you. He loves his walks, chew toys, and just laying next to you to have his belly rubbed. If ever a dog deserved a loving forever home, it's Drew. He said to be sure to tell you that he knows a trick ? he shows his teeth when you tell him to smile. (He just didn't do it for his photo!)
Hi, my name's Prissy. I'm not a prissy girl though... well, maybe a little cause I don't get along so well with other kitties. But I can be the only cat in your house, right? And a home where the kids are a bit older will be best for me. I bet you're wondering why I have only one eye. As a kitten I got a terrible eye infection, an infection so bad the kitty doctor had to remove one of my eyes. It's ok; I see very well with the other eye. Since I'm slightly shy at first, one-on-one attention goes a long way with me. When I get it, I'll roll over in delight -- literally on my back -- belly up. Being petted is my favorite! Single, beautiful, brown female looking for a forever home that includes lots of cuddling. I'm a cuddler and I enjoy kids of all ages. I'm quite the well-rounded dog (not in size, mind you). I enjoy playing with the other dog here at my foster home, but I also enjoy snuggling with my humans. Loud, sudden noises and doors tend to frighten me a bit. Mostly, I'm just a sweet-natured dog looking for a family to call my own. I'm not real small or too big ? just a perfect family-size dog. I suppose I should admit I do have one downfall (no one is perfect you know) ? if you let go of my leash, I will run like the wind (aaahhhh, it feels so good to have the breeze through my hair!). So a tall fence or a strong, tight grip on my leash is a must. A runner, are you? Perfect! I think you may have found your new running companion.Come on out to APL and ask for Victoria ?
