People who rescue and foster pets are very special individuals. They are a group of people who want to save cats and dogs and many other pets from being euthanized. It is pretty sad that that has to happen to any animal.
In the Orlando area there are many rescue groups. A few of these are listed on the links section of this page. Today we're going to talk about Yorkie Friends Rescue. The folks at Yorkie Friends Rescue are really caring people who invest a lot of time, energy and money into saving and caring for all the little Yorkies. They will take in pets who have been lost, abused, neglected, or just plain not wanted. Hard to believe but pets are turned into rescue groups for many sad reasons and the people who work in these rescue groups give with all their heart and soul and pocket books to make sure they are saved, helped and find happy homes with people who will love them. Before they go to permanent homes they are taken to the vet for a complete check up, dental, spay or neuter and micro ship. Any other medical conditions are addressed and all medication is provided to get them stared on the road to recovery. They are also taken to the groomer and so they look beautiful again. Yorkie Friends Rescue has lots of Yorkies, like Heather, in the photo, who need forever homes. They also have lots of rescued yorkies who will be forever fosters with their foster parents because they are very sick or hurt and it wouldn’t be good for them to be moved around. This is why rescue groups need donations and support from all of us.

It is very exciting everyday that one of these lost, mistreated or neglected babies gets adopted by a loving caring family.

Most of these pets have been through some bad times or lost their parents and really need to have “the best” forever home. Hopefully you or someone you know can be one of the special people who can help one of these loveable pets learn what real love and happiness is.
