Since we all at least consider making New Year's resolutions, I conferred with my four legged family members. My dog's New Year's resolutions are:
1) I will not chase the cat.
2) I will not forage in the trash (if I can help it - if there's something yummy in there, disregard this resolution.)
3) I will not wake my human up early to play by implying I need to go out to fertilize the grass.
4) I will not panic when I get groomed.
5) I will not chase the cat (I know this is a duplicate, but because it's done with such frequency, it requires two resolutions),
6) I will stop barking when I am told to do so.
7) I will continue to chase squirrels, but I will recognize it is unlikely I will catch them.
8) I will not beg for human food.
9) I will notify my human in a timely manner if I wish to go outside in an appropriate manner.
10) I will allow my human to periodically dress me up, recognizing that it is a temporary state of embarrassment which soon shall pass.
My cat's New Year's resolution:
I will continue to be as fabulous as I currently am, and I do not intend to change a thing. All others will need to change to suit me.
Happy New Year to one and all!
