If you're looking for a great place to find new pet products, adoptable animals, and live entertainment, stop by the Michigan Family Pet Expo at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi. The Pet Expo is being held from November 20th until the 22nd, and costs $9 for adults to get in, and $5 for kids. There is also a $5 parking fee. You can get $1 off your ticket price by showing up with a can or bag of pet food that will benefit local shelters.
These prices will be well worth your while. Vendors at the Pet Expo often hand out free samples, goody bags, and coupons packed with savings on pet related items. While there will be several booths that sell items for your pets, there will also be performances by Ultimate Air Dogs, cat shows from the Great Lakes Cat Enthusiasts Club, a bird show, and also Miller's Petting Zoo, which is a miniature barnyard with plenty of live farm animals. Vendors like the Animal Emergency Center, located in Novi, provide free registration of your pet that includes a special tag and ID collar in case your pet is lost or injured, while Cedar Creek Pet offers affordable and comfortable pet beds in a variety of sizes.
While there are plenty of great pet friendly items, the Pet Expo also includes therapy services, service dogs, and breed specific rescue groups for those interested in certain needs or breeds.
