Suspected dog fighting ring found in Dorchester

A Dorchester man may face felony animal cruelty charges, following the discovery of an apparent dog fighting ring at the man's home.

What appears to be a pit bull fighting ring was discovered when a repairman was called to the home; the plumber became concerned and reported the situation to authorities when he saw a bloody dog fighting pit and dog cages.

When Boston police searched the Raven Street-area home of the 36-year-old male resident, authorities also uncovered dog fighting-related equipment, like probing sticks and bite sticks.

Boston police have said that the man admitted the three dogs were his; he reportedly said the blood was the result of the dogs fighting on their own accord. Authorities say the man claimed the dogs were kept for breeding purposes.

It was approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, when three dogs were removed from the first-floor apartment in Dorchester by the Massachusetts Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals' (MSPCA) Law Enforcement Division. Unfortunately, one of the dogs was deceased; a second was severely injured. But a third dog was reportedly found in fair condition.

As of 12:00 noon Sunday, no arrests had been made in connection with this case; the investigation continues.

"Vicktory To The Underdog" takes an in depth look at world renowned tattoo artist "Brandon Bond" and his dog rescue efforts - particularly rescuing the infamous Michael Vick fighting dogs.
Rather than focusing on the dog fighting problem, the movie sheds light on solutions leading to "Vicktory" for all the underdogs in the movie - tattoo people, pitbulls, parolees and all the other people in this world that society has turned their back on through ignorance and racism.
The movie also examines the life of Brandon Bond and his struggle with balancing fame, fortune and the Rock-N-Roll tattoo lifestyle with a more fulfilling life that focuses on the betterment of both animals and society as a whole.
Featuring celebrities like Debbie and Danny Trejo, Michael Berryman, Pixie Acia and Donal Logue, the movie takes you on an incredible journey you will never forget!

Proceeds for this film will be going to Villa Lobos Pitbull Rescue. vrcpitbull.com

The lady who owns that house- Andra Morton of 2 Bows Lane in Avon MA - knew all about it. As long as she got her RENT MONEY she didn't care that dog's were being killed in her house. The problem with Dorchester is the SLUMLORDS. Give her a call and ask her - she's in the book.

Hanging is to humane for this scumbag. Let him suffer, like he let his dogs suffer. Why hasn't anything been done yet? The dead and dying dogs were taken from his house, doesn't that mean anything?
A big THANK YOU to the plumber!
