Have you ever added Reiki to your holistic health program for your pets?
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of Universal Energy and can only be applied by an attuned practitioner.
The healing system of Reiki has been adopted into many hospitals all around the world. Here it is used in conjunction with conventional medicine to speed up the healing process: Reiki is applied for pain management (post- and pre surgery), cancer treatment and depression. Learn more about Reiki at Wholistic Sitting.
My friend Tanya from Wholistic Sitting is a Reiki Master and has told me many stories how she helped animals to feel better but also wanted to make sure you knew, that Reiki is not a replacement for urgent medical care. However, Reiki will support the healing in those cases as well.
Here she shares one of her experiences practicing Reiki on a elderly Golden Retriever:
Last year, a client called me after their elderly Golden Retriever Jessica had just had surgery, to remove a huge seeping fatty tumor on her back. Fearing Jessy might not survive the night, they called upon me to apply Reiki. Jessies body functions were very slow- her pulse and breathing was low as she lay motionless on the floor. I activated Reiki and treated her for about an half hour. I could feel how her body literally soaked up the energy, while my hands not only became hot, but turned bright red (the hands can become very warm during treatment as Reiki channels through them). Then, Jessy lifted her head, drank a couple sips of water and looked so much better! She got the glow in her eyes back and looked bright! Jessie’s parents were absolutely thrilled about her immediate improvement and had me come over a couple more times to improve her healing. After each session, Jessy got up and moved to her owner, as if to thank her. I'm very happy to say that Jessy has fully recovered from her extensive surgery now and all her wounds have healed nicely.
So maybe next time you can help your pet by visiting Tanya and let her put hands on your beloved pet.

"Can only be applied by an attuned practitioner"
Of course, since it is completely bogus. One could achieve the same affect by dancing around a fire and chanting with your arms flailing.
Prove that reiki has any effect whatsoever, you can't, since it doesn't exist. Least of all, in animals, since they don't experience the placebo effect.
Reiki "practitioners" are only energizing your wallet.
okthen,
You are entitled to your opinion, however, I practice reiki and can vouch that it does indeed "exist." It is also a valid form of healing and many hospitals are starting to have reiki practitioners come to perform sessions on some of their patients that are open to the idea of energy healing. Yes, practitioners do have a fee for their sessions most of the time as any other health worker would such as a massage therapist, however, their are many reiki practitioners who volunteer to perf
I'm a Reiki therapist also, and actually, one of the great things about Reiki (and other energy healing techniques) is the clear effect it has on animals, since they do NOT experience the placebo effect. It's really very interesting to see.
Spyder, prove it. Sorry, you can't. Stephanie, just because one practices reiki, does not mean it is real, nor is it "medicinal", it's nothing more than whishful thinking and pseudoscience, plain and simple. Try doing some critical thinking and research, skip the anecdotes.
This is so cool Can't believe they have this for animals as well :)
I know a few animals who could really use some energy work!
