A seattle dog was running free at Seward Park when it discovered and ate a stash of marijuana. The 11-year-old Lab mix was "stoned" when his owner caught up with him. Owner Jen Nestor Waddell told reporters at KING-TV that she quickly became concerned with her pet had trouble walking and looked dazed.
$1500 later, a vet treated the pet and revealed that the dog had ingested a very large amount of dried marijuana. The dog was fine and back home the same day.

Thank God the dog didnt go insane and commit acts of criminal violence!
Sorry, you cannot get high by eating raw pot. Someone got that dog high by forcing him to inhale smoke, or mixed cooked pot in with his food. This is a case of animal cruelty.
Oh, dogs don't eat plants either.
dogs eat grass sometimes... it's natural for them. and yes , eating dried pot will get you high - i've done it
Why isn't this dog arrested and made a felon? This is complete insanity! Put this dog away for life!
Even the dogs like it.
Marijuana prohibition has been a total failure and is perhaps this country's greatest mistake. Not only has it created criminals out of nearly a third of the country's populace, it costs our society billions of dollars every year, creates a strain on our prison system, and has little or no effect on marijuana use in the US. In some cases, prosecuting marijuana use has turned non-violent, middle class kids into violent and unpredictable, career criminals. Once a person has a criminal conviction on their record, they are far less likely to find a good job and become a useful member of society. Other countries with more liberal drug laws have much lower rates of drug addiction among their people. Hello my name is Sparky and I'm addicted to eating marijuana.
Where "exactly" in Seward Park was he when he found this huge amount of pot just lying around? My mom really wants to know. ;)
and Bill is really misinformed. Some dogs can and do eat plants, tear up flower beds, even lick stumps oozing odd tree juices that can make them dopey. But ingest Marijuana would not have gotten him high that quick, thats a fact of digestion as with any other meds. It takes at least a half-hour when ingested orally, even on an empty stomach, so the story is somewhat suspect or the dog was missing longer than the owner let on.
..or more likey, the dog ate the pot at home and the owner is covering for herself or someone else. I mean, come on! large amount of pot just laying around the park? Yea..right!
