Cesar Millan announced at a recent press conference that he has a new challenge to tackle. He is crusading to shut down puppy mills.
The famous "Dog Whisperer" who is known for his controversial methods of training unruly canines has teamed up with the Los Angeles based animal advocacy organization called Last Chance for Animals.
Millan went with LCA on one of their undercover missions.
He said, “It was a “heartbreaking experience. It was hard to maintain a calm assertive state in that environment. It completely changed my life.”
Now Cesar Millan wants to see puppy mills stopped.
“It’s an unnatural state for the dogs. They don’t breed naturally and they have no natural interaction with anybody and still people make money from them,” Millan said at the press conference.
Millan will release how his transformation took place regarding large dog breeding facilities and talk about his plans to put an end to them on a special episode of "The Dog Whisperer", Friday May 8th.
Millan has beaten the odds for success all of his life, migrating from Mexico and moving on to become a world famous expert in dog behavior. Maybe he can beat the odds again and finally put an end to the puppy mill industry.

Cesar does not train dogs, he rehabilitates dogs and trains people.
What is seen as controversy is actually confusion.

As a rescue foster mom of puppy mill survivors, you have to teach them to be dogs first, most come feral then you go to training, I don't agree with Mr. Milan's comments about rescuers having pity and guilt feelings for puppy mill survivors, I have never felt that, just love and compassion, if he really wanted to do something to help, get his Hollywood friends to open their homes to foster a puppy mill survivor so more can be saved.
