There is no treat or toy currently on the market that can claim to be more natural than Antler dog chews.
Before there was a multi-billion dollar pet product market dogs had to make do with discarded shoes, sticks, old baseballs or bones they'd find in the woods. They weren't given toys stuffed with treats, soft stuffed animals, Frisbees, or dental chews. Somehow they still survived and enjoyed themselves. Antler chews have likely been around since before history was recorded. Dogs would roam the woods and find shed antlers or those left by hunters who took only the meat of their quarries. There's nothing artificial or added to this great dog toy.
Unlike other hard dog toys such as Chew hooves, smoked bones, Nylabones or rawhides, Antler chews don't splinter, rarely break and don't cause stomach distress. They are filled with nutrients to help build strong bones and clean the dogs teeth with natural ridges. They don't smell or leave stains on any surface. Moreover, dogs love them.
The Antler chews reviewed were gleaned from free-ranging North American deer and elk that either shed their antlers or were hunted for sport or food, not farm raised for their meat. Each one has a different shape and color making it a unique and highly valued toy for dogs. Before being shipped all sharp points are cut off so as to prevent injury to your dog or others.
Before giving them to your dog be sure to thoroughly wash them in warm, soapy water. As your dog will highly value this toy be sure that he/she isn't possessive aggressive. If you are at all unsure about how your dog will feel if you remove the toy, offer him/her a trade for it, such as a piece of cooked chicken or beef. Practice this often to prevent any aggressive incidents over the Antler chew.
Currently, there are no retailers in the DC area who sell this product. You'll need to go to the link below at www.PetExpertise.com to order them. If you are a retailer reading this, you might want to consider offering this item as it'll be a good seller. Here's a toy that lasts a long time, doesn't cause illness or injury and dogs love it.

Thanks for this! I didn't know about this treat.---Michelle C
They are available at an online pet store named Zany Doodles along with other natural treats and bones. They will last considerably longer than a rawhide, they don't have an odor like bullies and they are a great vitamin and mineral source. My dog loves them.
